Trying to convey a sense of his size here. So far today he's doing better with the other cats. He has a room of his own for now, and this morning we left the door to his room open and supervised visits with Crashie , Angelina, and Nic, for a very short time. He seems more secure now that he has his own space and can watch the other cats come and go. Being higher up on the bed helps, too.
Not sure how much he weighs yet, we'll take him to the vet next week for a wellness check and find out then. And he does look kind of like a Turkish Van, I hadn't thought of that! My first thought was Maine coon.
I am feeling a bit more encouraged about him than I was last night.
Also, I think his ears may have been frostbitten at some point, the tips are pink and a bit leathery to the touch.
