Trying to convey a sense of his size here. So far today he's doing better with the other cats. He has a room of his own for now, and this morning we left the door to his room open and supervised visits with Crashie , Angelina, and Nic, for a very short time. He seems more secure now that he has his own space and can watch the other cats come and go. Being higher up on the bed helps, too.
Not sure how much he weighs yet, we'll take him to the vet next week for a wellness check and find out then. And he does look kind of like a Turkish Van, I hadn't thought of that! My first thought was Maine coon.
I am feeling a bit more encouraged about him than I was last night.
Also, I think his ears may have been frostbitten at some point, the tips are pink and a bit leathery to the touch.
The industry in town is grain. Notice the tractor-trailer trucks of grain that are dwarfed by the grain bins. 7 year-old son walks our friend's dog.
Our photo club went to Maynard, MA to have a day of street photography. A great time was had by all of us.
Tom Maynard the Surrey batsman who was tragically killed earlier this week. I was fortunate enough to see him play on three occasions.

I couldn't figure out why I was suddenly confused about which number day I was on; I had 38 items in my folder for the 365 Project Finals, but only 37 on Flickr. So, I had to go back through and see if something was missing. Found it! This is the picture from day 19, when I was home sick from work. It's no wonder I didn't get around to putting it on Flickr: I felt like total shit that day, having thrown up around midnight the night before, and feeling generally queasy most of the day. I considered not taking a picture that day, but then I reminded myself that I needn't take a "good" picture every day, so that kind of took the pressure off. This is my "Maynard Man." He was watching me pull a piece of yarn around with my left hand as I snapped the picture, hence the intense look in his eyes.
