combined family crests! One features a buck and blue based color scheme on a shield, the other features three red hands on a shield. Both had flourishes around them, and both family names start with M so I shaped the initial into the shield. Very fun endeavor and I'm happy with the results and DEFINITELY happy with what it symbolizes

My intention was to capture this still life of a heart cut out of an apple. I think that it has a strong message which is interesting enough for the viewer to read into. I left the knife in the image to dramatize the fact that the heart wasn't natural it was created by carving up the apple. I also thought this image looked better in black and white.
Maynard Jackson was the first African-American mayor to be elected to office in Atlanta. Atlanta decided to give him a section in the Oakland Cemetery. They decided to give him a substantial amount of land in which today you will see many people playing or having picnics on the lot. His headstone faces downtown Atlanta in which he served. Prior to Maynard Jackson there weren’t many African-Americans buried here with the exception of a select few. This drew more diverse crowds to the park/cemetery. Jackson is the 25th mayor laid to rest in the Oakland Cemetery along with six Georgia Governors.
