The southern coast of Chile presents a large number of fjords and fjord-like channels. The general features of these channels are high, abrupt shores, with innumerable peaks and headlands remarkably alike in character, their bold, rugged heads giving an appearance of magical grandeur rarely seen elsewhere. The Balmaceda glacier is located within the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park, which is located 31 miles northwest of the city of Puerto Natales and is part of the Andes mountain range. Access is only by sea, navigating through the Last Hope Fjord, which owes its name to the “last hope” of finding the Strait of Magellan in 1557, for an expedition that was looking for it from the Pacific Ocean.
Vertical pano from the Mavic 3. Early AM, just as the sun came up. The alignment with the pier was intentional and something that I was mimicking from an older photo I took when I first got into droning. Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles under a blanket of marine layer. Good times.
Tumpak Sewu is a tiered waterfall that is located between the Pronojiwo District in East Java, Indonesia. The waterfall is overshadowed by Semeru, an active volcano and the highest mountain in Java. Tumpak Sewu means "a thousand waterfalls." From above it looks like the tree of life, from below it is immensely powerful, and from all angles, it is quite simply mindblowing and one of the most amazing locations in East Java.

To do lists grow very long this time of year. Sometimes I feel like I’m just running around checking all the boxes of the season. I have to remind myself to step back, take a breath and enjoy the beauty of the world around me. Ah, that feels better!

I’ve got some exciting Southern Utah trips planned over the next month. I’m really excited to get back there. I hope the place doesn’t wash away before I arrive. Be safe near flowing water, everyone! Water is not something we Utahns are used to.

Tramore Beach, Horn Head Peninsula, Dunfanaghy, County Donegal, Ireland
The name ‘Tramore’ in Gaelic Trá Mór translates to 'Big Beach' so nothing too mystical 😄 but indeed very accurate! as this sandy cove stretches 2km across the stunning Donegal coast.
What I enjoyed almost as much as strolling along this sandy paradise was the actual walk to reach it. Starting off through a little woodland and following a winding path until greeted with a vast plain of grassy sand dunes (Lurgabrack Dunes) which stretched for miles. These dunes are carpeted in scented wildflowers and brimming with many butterfly, bird & bee species. On the final stretch they show a commanding view over Tory Island on the horizon which is timeless.
On this beautiful evening I patiently watched the sea mist and clouds for several hours, which showed no signs of rising or retreating. Never have I witnessed clouds lay so low over the ocean for so long before. I knew if there was a vibrant sunset then the light may reflect off the low-lying cloud tops, hopefully giving an ethereal look to the surrounding landscape.
I love to let my mind wander free and can just imagine the mythical lost kingdom of Tír na nÓg resting nearby under these calm Atlantic waters 🌊

Everyone loves long exposure shots of waterfalls that make the flowing water look smooth and beautiful. Those shots are much harder from the air because you don’t have the stability of a tripod. Leave the shutter open too long and everything is blurry instead of just the water. But I gave it a try with an ND filter and some blue hour light. I’m pretty happy with the result.

Avebury's henge and stone circles, one of the greatest remaining prehistoric sites in Britain. Built and much altered during the Neolithic period, roughly between 2850 BC and 2200 BC, the henge survives as a huge circular bank and ditch, encircling an area that includes part of Avebury village. Within the henge is the largest stone circle in Britain - originally of about 100 stones - which in turn encloses two smaller stone circles.
Avebury is part of an extraordinary set of Neolithic and Bronze Age ceremonial sites that seemingly formed a vast sacred landscape
A wider view of the road to the Bonneville Speedway area. Normally, you could drive down onto the salt at the end of the road and race around on the flats. But right now you’d need a boat instead.

The Wrocław Bridge of Peace with Ostrów Tumski in the background after sunset.
Ostrów Tumski always looks beautiful regardless of the time of day. The Odra River flowing through it gives it a lot of charm - it acts as a mirror. Thanks to this, regardless of the point of view (whether from the air or from the ground), we can immediately see this place from two perspectives.

On 9 March 2024, 189 903 and 193 774 hauled the intermodal train DGS 43129 to Verona Q.E. from Munich East shunting yard. I was able to capture the tandem running for Lokomotion at Niederaudorf.
Always an eye-catcher: the sand train from the Rohrdorf plant with the colourful Rocktainer wagons. On 5 December 2024, I came across this train standing out photogenically against the landscape near Niederaudorf in the Inn Valley. The locomotive on this day was 1293.021.

Warm colors in the sky above the land of the red rocks. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to live in that little neighborhood just beneath the red cliffs. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of the view.

Malin Beg, Glencolmcille, County Donegal, Ireland
What more could one say about the Silver Strand Beach other than it’s simply one of the most stunning beaches you could ever lay eyes on. Certainly one of Ireland’s finest horseshoe beaches, complete with its surrounding natural peat bog & sea grass landscape. Located on the extreme western point of rural Donegal, far away from the everyday bustling of congested towns and traffic jams.
On arrival you are still extremely high above this cove which was carved deep into the surrounding bedrock throughout millions of years of wave erosion. There’s a steep 174 stepped path leading down to this dreamy beach. An experience your mind will never forget walking down and an experience your legs will never forget from climbing back up them 😅 Great for both your body & mind.....
