I went to South County to shoot the beaches in the winter. This is shot number 5 for my 215 In 2015 project. This might be the closest thing that we get to a Western vista in this part of the world. What makes this shot great is the lack of people, just the beach.
Our office has a new web site and I was asked to take the "corporate" head shots. (We are not a corporation although you might not know it from these photos. Anyway, it's a different, more common portrait than I usually take. I thought they came out pretty well.
Not only was my son being chased by his shadow, he was also being chased by me through the revolving door. Actually, every time he sees one of these things he just can't help himself. This time I had my camera out.
There is just something special about a lighthouse. I was shocked to read that this one and most of the ones we take for granted in Massachusetts, have at various times been close to demolition. It would be a shame to lose this connection to our past.
Out driving on Monday, looking for landscapes to shoot in Rhode Island. I realize that just looking at a map is not a real good way to do this. You have to know where to look. i don't. I need someone to tell me where the good spots to shoot are. Anyway, I was flailing away in my car on Monday when I happened to drive by Barberville Dam. I have never heard of Barberville before. Well, it's in my GPS now!
Prospect Park is a great place to just sit and enjoy the sights and people of Providence. Here a photographer (Chris Emerson), has set up a photo shoot with a ballerina.
