week 20 : OLD MASTER

Behind and catching up. I had this idea for this weeks shot but have been super busy and finally got around to getting it done. pulled out my 1970's action figures (insert nerd jokes here) and shot these old Jedi Masters

Single exposure, 3 SB-80s: CL wall/ceiling bounce; two on left side of bedroom, one bounced high off white closet door and one wall/ceiling bounce. There's some flash reflection on the right side of window...didn't catch that on camera LCD (maybe it's time to join the CamRanger ranks?)

Wish I'd have gotten more of a 2/3-to-1/3 comp. I'm thinking I had a reason for not panning more to the left...but now I have no idea what it could have been :-)

In the late 50's and early 60's Channel Master radios were made by Sanyo (Japan). This radio was made in Taiwan, I'm guessing early or mid 70's. Unsure of the manufacturer.

I'm a fan of many of the transistor radios from the 1970's. After some pretty dull, rectangular radios in the mid to late 60's colour and shape made a big comeback in the era of platform shoes, over-sized lapels and polyester leisure suits.
