The mask is done! I'm happy with it but there is some scarring that I couldn't get rid of, so I'm trying to decide whether to paint it or not.

This is a leather mask that has been hand crafted and shaped out of one piece of leather. I used various acrylic paints and freehanded the animal print. The base is an yellow/gold color with black, brown, and orange spots.

This mask would be perfect for Halloween, a costume, or even as wall art! It's light weight, comfortable and elegant - what more could you want?!

Nice, quality, smooth leather painted with acrylic and it's ready to go! This mask is made from one piece of 7 oz vegetable tanned leather. There is an elastic chord that is easy to tie off for quick adjustments. One size fits adults.

Custom masks available. Feel free to look through my flickr gallery for a feel of some of my previous designs. - www.flickr.com/photos/maskedzone/

Enjoy!

This mask is meant to live above the doorway to your home and is intended to keep away evil spirits. I picked it up several years ago near Ubud in Bali.

This mask was a Christmas gift, and I have to say, from the angle at which this was taken, looks a bit on the creepy side. Like an actual face out of a horror movie. I think I might have to start up a mask collection, if for no other reason than the photographic possibilities are nearly endless. :-)

The Bubbler in collaboration with the Neighborhood Intervention Program (NIP) and Prof. Faisal Abdu ́Allah present an art exhibition by Madison youth. "Mask Off!" brings together UW-Madison staff, The Bubbler, and teenagers of greater Madison to celebrate identity, alter egos, and human complexity. Based on 15 weeks of workshops with diverse artists, the project emphasizes the multi-vocality and diversity of the youth who are often at the forefront of the nation’s friction. The art, made by the teens, tells stories about the multiple facets of self-imagination versus determination by society. The alter egos that the teens developed reflect upon their adaptation to challenges encountered in their every day lives.
