Thought I might as well put up a picture of my finished masks. Well I have 2 more to do really, so not quite finished. Then I have an array of other UV stuff to make.

Emberá Indian ceremonial mask depicting the crocodile. These masks are made by the Emberá women and are made from straw wrapped and woven around sticks of wood.

Some old fav’s of mine from 2011 and early 2012.
The studio shots were taken with a £14 Nikon Objective and with flash, clearly some imperfections can be seen.
Single shots were with the Canon 100mm L and flash
Outdoor stacks were with the Canon 100mm L and flash, made hand held using the camera in continues shooting mode and rotating the focus on the lens. (Works ok for 1:1 macro and again imperfections can be seen)

I tinkered with the master for my Dragon Priest mask because I thought I could make it better, and the old mold was about ready to retire. Tried making one mold with the last of my rondo, but ff'd it up and decided to use carbon fiber for the jacket mold, since it was all I had lying around. So what you see here is a new and improved mold for the Dragon Priest, made out of carbon fiber. I'll be working a lot more with carbon fiber in upcoming projects. Tomorrow I'll post quality checks of the old mold and the new one; this one turned out much better than expected.

I've seen several discarded face masks by the side of the road while walking around the neighborhood.
I don’t understand: They’re not easy enough to find that you can just toss one and replace it on a whim. What’s the story? Did someone rip another person’s mask off and throw it in the dirt as a form of bullying? Throw their own mask away in frustration?

These 9 year olds were looking at sight and vision so we decided to create our own crazy glasses and masks. They were all so individual, just like the kids!
This is a leather mask that has been hand crafted and shaped out of one piece of leather. I used metallic acrylic paint and freehanded the swirl design. The base color is black and the swirls are dark silver, with lighter silver dots. The button off to the side has clear crystals and dark silver metal. There are white and black feathers. There are 25+ clear crystals.

Nice, quality, smooth leather painted with acrylic and it's ready to go! This mask is made from one piece of 7 oz vegetable tanned leather. There is an elastic chord that is easy to tie off for quick adjustments. One size fits adults.

As Hong Kong Coronavirus/COVID-19 surpasses fifty cases in the city so most people don a face mask to protect themselves from the virus. Although there is some debate over the effectiveness of the masks to protect against infection and a citywide shortage of masks still the face covering has become started attire for most people in the city.
