After the layer of neoprene has reached my desired thickness, I pour the remaining liquid neoprene back into the jug. The remaining neoprene will be left to cure over the next 24 to 48 hours.
I find that the longer the neoprene is allowed to cure in the mold, the less overall shrinkage that occurs. Shrinkage is one thing that must be taken into consideration when sculpting a mask for neoprene. But if dried properly, the shrinkage is minimal. But do not try to speed the process of drying. I tested this one time by placing the mask and mold in front of fan as I do sometimes when drying paper and glue. The resulting mask shrunk considerably more than one that is left to dry naturally.
Raphael is trying on a World War I–era gas mask he made for "Shakespeare in the Park" in New York City.
The level of neoprene has dropped considerably. Again, not enough to warrant pouring in more liquid neoprene.
At this point, the neoprene has been in for a little over 1.5 hours. I probably did not need to leave this for quiet so long. Under 1.5 hours would have sufficed. The longer it sits, the thicker the finished mask will be.
this one is mine, since I can't go in a store without one in Cali. I do not like being muzzled! my bear said he didn't like it either..

While blowing the dust out of the finder with my blue puffer bulb, this mask came flying out. The small notch goes towards the back of the finder, with the mask being on the range side of the finder.
I cleaned the interior glasses of the viewfinder (but not the range or split-beam mirrors) with some Kodak Lens Cleaner on a cosmetic applicator swab (fancy sort of a cotton-tipped swab found in the cosmetics aisle of the store) that has one wide end, and the other is pointy, to get into the corners. BTW, I also use the round cotton pads for cleaning the exterior of cameras with either alcohol, or leather treatment. (They can also be used to repack your Kodak Wratten Series V and VI Filter containers). And the cosmetics section is also a good source for camel hair brushes of different forms. Just don't waste money in the more popular stores, get them at the discount stores.

This is a plastic halloween mask made to look like the cheap old Ben Cooper/Collegeville costumes of the 1950's-1980's.
This is based on an existing Nobunny shirt/button graphic that pays tribute to the famous Misfits "Crimson Ghost/Fiend" logo.

Here are comparison shots of the old Dragon Priest mold (left) vs. the new one (right). I've tagged the old air bubbles and cancers or impurities. You might also notice by the sheen of the new cast how much smoother the new mold is.

As Hong Kong Coronavirus/COVID-19 surpasses fifty cases in the city so most people don a face mask to protect themselves from the virus. Although there is some debate over the effectiveness of the masks to protect against infection and a citywide shortage of masks still the face covering has become started attire for most people in the city.
