A New Year's tradition. I very seldom make saurkraut throughout the year because then it becomes even more of a special treat on New Year's day, when I then proceed to gorge myself.
Pastured happy-critter pork, smashed potatoes, cucumbers and sweet corn (not ours, yet). I made the gravy out of pan drippings, whole wheat flour, homemade yogurt, and it was really good.
Special: Grilled pork chop topped w/mango pepper jelly glaze -served on homemade mashed potatoes and garlic green beans

The chicken was sooooo moist and delicious. Bathed in buttermilk and dipped in a breadcrumb/thyme/romano mixture.
I have actually been to Long Island quite a bit for work over the past few years but somehow this was my first time dining in a diner. I had this delicious and probably unhealthy sliced hot open.
Tonight's dinner was tarragon chicken, (too) creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus.
I need to figure out how to give more details to object that don't have distinct edges (like tonight's mashed potatoes).
If you're getting bored of the food photography, I'm going on a week long road/camping trip next week. I'm sure I'll come back with plenty of awesome out in the field photos.
