My name is Vonnie and I am an ex-Mormon. I have been free of the Holy Ghost, Joseph Smith and having 10% of my gross wage taken, er, tithed, for 24 years. In Jeebus' name, Amen.

Custom Compass Rose with aluminum imbedments to mark the seasons and brightly colored markings using newlook solid color stain. Decorative scoring with light sandblasting to differentiate images using texture. By The Concrete Artisans, Inc.

With the new masks carefully applied I was able to apply the red centres to the unit numbers and the black to the national insignia. Once dry I applied the second set of masks and sprayed white. The masks were removed to reveal the completed markings.

Marking the 50th anniversary of Mira Wilkins' unique business history of the Ford Motor Company outside of the United States -- American Business Abroad: Ford on Six Continents. Every flag on the table corresponds to a scale model representing a Ford model that was manufactured or assembled in that country at some time between 1903 and 1964. ABA was reprinted in 2011 and is now fairly easy to find.

A Blue Flower Wasp of some sort on Kunzea ambigua flowers. It had interesting yellow markings behind the eyes that set it apart from most other Blue Flower Wasps I have seen. Hoping to get an exact I.D. for it soon. [Lower Blue Mountains, NSW]

Adding shelves in my office closet. With so much space, it'd be a shame not to use that for storage!

Accident markings show an arrow pointing the direction of the train and a horizontal red arrow from which the word 'auto' has been worn away.

There is barely a week which passes without reports of road vehicles being hit by trains at level crossings despite warning bells and lights. This is Trousko station where a shrine out of picture on the left commemorates two young men who were killed here some years ago. More recently a car couldn't wait for a stopped unit to get on its way and drove in front of it with, fortunately, less drastic damage.

I don't know what kind of material it is made of but it feels like varnished cardboard. They are very hard to read. It says:

Yesterday, late afternoon... The sun was going down. Lots of things were going on!

The tree-murderers finally finished their job destroying the trees, bushes and plants that used to inhabit this space and put the rent-a-fence back in place. What's done is done... The good news is that Mother Nature is gonna return with a vengeance! The place will be green in no time. Well, relatively speaking... In the meantime, the hill, with the pale brown earth now in full view, seems so empty and bare ! ! !

This shot demonstrates another timely event: the beginning of Yom Kippur, which was to begin in about an hour, at sundown. The Jewish Orthodox neighbor walking along the rent-a-fence is wearing his cloth shoes, which are de rigeur on this particular Holy Day. He's clearly on his way to the synagogue for an evening of prayer. G-d bless him...and all of us!

Meanwhile, some neighbors are hungry and ordered pizza... The man on the bicycle, wearing a safety helmet, has just delivered a pizza and perhaps more. Now he's on his way back to the pizzeria, to pick up another delivery.

I was on my way downtown to a (disappointing) show at my favorite dance venue, the Dance Theatre Workshop, noticed the fence and my neighbors, and decided to mark the moment...
