"Mapusa: Yesterday & Today", a 308-page book written by Domnic P.F. Fernandes, was released at the hands of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, at the Mapusa Municipal Council Hall, in Mapusa, Goa, on October 7, 2012. While reviewing the well researched and amply illustrated book, expert horticulturist Miguel Braganza pointed out the drawbacks of the once beautiful and well-planned Mapusa town. Domnic provided further insights into the interesting volume, his second since "Domnic's Goa". The book has been published by Goa-1556 and Frederick Noronha welcomed/thanked the guests on the dais and the audience, which included prominent Mapxenkars and others. Minister Mandrekar also congratulated Domnic on his painstaking exercise to document the city's past and heritage. Chief Minister Parrikar spoke at length on the city, where he grew up, and assured that its future would not be so bad as steps would be taken soon to develop it in a planned manner.
