Adivasi boys of Saligao
They were impressed with the picture of Aubergines that I was taking. The one in the front was following me around and would give a shy smile. The pic I took before this one was a posed one and then they relaxed. That is when I shot this. Always wait....
The Vagator beach located near Mapusa Road, North Goa and 22 km far from the state capital Panaji is less crowded and isolated compared to other Goan beaches. It boasts of pure white sand, doted with black lava rocks and swaying coconut and palm trees and lies within the backdrop of the 500-year-old Portuguese Fort and takes the visitors down the memory lane depicting the Old Portuguese era. Vagator's broad white sandy beach - Big Vagator Beach also known as "Little Vagator" is undeniably beautiful and offers picturesque vista with the red ramparts of Chapora Fort.

Mapusa City Circle Goa....On my trip to Goa,on this day I hadnt managed a single click ....was getting a bit restless in the bed when i to got to the Hotel window to shoot this one at 1 O'clock in the night....I wanted some vehicles but there were none....this is a 25 sec exposure....so at times at the fag end of the exposure some prick would come in the unintended direction and ruin the shot.....finally after 20 odd takes i got this one...

An eerie bungalow somewhere on the Mapusa-Anjuna road. The owner of the shoes could not be located. Just a silent abandoned house, a psycho cat, storm clouds overhead, film music playing somewhere in the distance like a thought you cannot shake off, and one unhinged window that banged open and shut in the strong evening breeze.
Getting ready for the carnival. This is in Mapusa on Day 4 where I managed to reach earlier and take these preparation shots of the performers. The khaki uniform is the symbol of traditional government work force in India. It denotes everything governmental.
Here these guys are representing the workers of the municipality for keeping cities and villages clean.
Goa was blessed with an abundant nature full of trees and rolling hills and great beaches. Now with time the population size has become hard to manage. Goa is now overflowing with waste alongwith its other bounties that nature has bestowed on her. It also has perhaps the moniker of being the most corrupt state in India, thanks mainly to its politicians.
The municipal councils and the politicians that run this state have not put in any waste disposal system till date and it is an open season of corruption and degradation.

The monsoon in Goa and the west coast of India is pretty much active in August.
Clouds roll in from the Arabian Sea laden with moisture and hit the medium high mountain range called western ghats. The rains are furious and the savageness of the storms is a delight to feel. Even in the fury of nature there lies beauty.
Mapusa is an old township on the coastal highway that runs from Kerala to Bombay. The road dips down from Mapusa into this valley before it climbs up to Porvorim and Panaji.
One August afternoon I was on this road after a session with the St. Xavier College and the valley was lit by pre storm light. I stopped and took in the scene.
The crucifying electric poles were paying homage to Jesus and there were tube lights feebly stabbing the sky against the Sun.

Mapusa voit son activité s'accroître considérablement le vendredi, jour traditionnel de marché. Les habitants des villes et villages alentour s'y rendent alors pour vendre leurs produits. Ce marché propose beaucoup de produits locaux (contrairement à ceux qui proposent des articles pour les touristes) et est spécialisée tant dans les produits agricoles, que les légumes, les fruits locaux, les épices, les vêtements ou les plantes (principalement pendant la durée de la saison de plantation de la mousson).
