A chapel near Mapusa, in North Goa, sports very striking decorative lighting at Christmas - It takes an effort to observe the tiny Christmas crib in the middle of all the UV tubelights.
The strong Catholic presence in Goa means ubiquitous Christmas celebrations throughout the state, some with a vividly southern-European flavor - and this is increasingly being tinted by the party lights and trends that have become the leit-motif of psychedelic Goa.

The feast of Our Lady of Miracles was celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2014, at St Jerome's Church in Mapusa, Goa. It is considered as the most popular feast in North Goa after the feast of St Francis Xavier in Old Goa.
