Personally, I'm OK with the iPhone storing information about where I've been. It's not like I'm not already tweeting about it, uploading photos to Flickr, reviewing things on Tripadvisor and so on...
First OOB try. Needs lots of work, but this is what I have so far. I'd seen some of the OOB's here on flickr, but didn't know how to even start doing them. I'd like to thank Serrator for writing his OOB tutorial and making it available.

The Balloon Route Trolley Trip was begun as part of the Los Angeles Pacific Railway Company. Managed by C.M. Pierce beginning in 1904, the tourist excursion covered more than 101 miles for the cost of a dollar, leaving and returning to downtown L.A., visiting ten beaches and eight cities in its balloon-shaped loop.
On the TTC, maps are in black and small and not easily noticeable. And show the entire line with a tiny arrow you have to hunt for. Here, I entered Bayswater easier than I ever expected and then HUGE maps greeted my eyes as I made my way to the stairs. The maps are not only easy to spot, but they're also easy to discern because:
They're in white.
They have lots of white space.
They use colour coding that contrasts well with the white but doesn't blow out your eyes.
They begin at the station you're at so you don't have to search for it.
They show the stations the trains travel to but not the ones they came from.
They don't expect you to know if you're heading north, south, east, west. Other stations have that additional information for locals.
They show the way in the biggest type.
They give you the line names in their colour codes.
Nice planters too.
These maps are accessible for the invisibly disabled -- and tourists!
After seeing these maps, looking at TTC maps with my brain-injured vision and cognition just enraged me. I've calmed down now.
