The team's lab is where all soil samples would be studied and measured to better understand the soil properties across Toolik. Typically, the team would alternate days between field work, where all three team members would go out to collect samples, and exploration, where two of three members would conduct simple measurements in the field and one would stay behind to conduct lab work.
