Eglwys y Methodistaid/ Methodist Church - Bedford Road - Porth Ia/ St Ives
"Bedford Road Church was built at the bottom of a new terrace of houses called Bedford Road. The chapel it was built to replace was in Chapel Street, opposite, and that building was then bought by Edward Hain and presented to the town as a Drill Hall for the Local militia. That building is still known as ‘The Drill Hall’. No one seems to know for certain who the architect for the church was but Mr Frith of Oldham was present at a meeting on April 26th 1897 at which his working plans were accepted. Mr Grenfell, the town surveyor, put in the plans for the manse which was built at the bottom of Bedford Road, next to the chapel."

A photo is a visual description of something or someone out there. Like map-makers, photographers want to portray what is important to them and therefore make a choice what is in the image and what is not. Therefore the final image will be a simplified version of what is out there based on the photographer's selective criteria. Like a map, viewers can 'read' the resulting image. However, map and image are not the same as what is out there. Fuji X-E2 plus Samyang telephoto (mirror) lens.
This is a HDR image merging of 7 exposures, starting at f/22, 15s and subsequent frames with +/-1EV increment. Processed in HDRSoft Photomatix Pro to convert 32bit hdr file to 16bit printable file (tone mapping) then edited in Photoshop for color & contrast.

The Hôtel de Berny is a cultural venue in Amiens: located rue Victor-Hugo, it houses the museum of local art and regional history, currently closed for work. This brick and stone mansion, made up of a central body, flanked by two pavilions in return, dates from the first half of the 1630s.

Still playing with that lander base; I liked Mladen's comment about the RCS looking a little like a crop duster so I changed them to small radars for terrian mapping/remote sensing. And focused on suggesting more of a mosquito motif.

GBRf 66721 "Harry Beck" named after Harry Beck the London Underground electrical draughtsman who produced the imaginative and beautifully simple tube map of the capital back in 1933, is caught running through Melton Mowbray, which according to the signs on the station is "The Rural Capital of Food"
