Voightlander 28mm manual focus lens. You never know what you might find when you walk in the streets. I saw this unique scene in Philly and later found that a vandal had shattered the glass and the owner of the shoe store fashioned a shoe to fill the hole.

Photography is all about light and time. Made with Pentacon Balgennaheinstellgerät M42 and CZJ Tessar 50 mm 2.8

The man who repaired and revived many of my vintage lenses deserves to be in one of my photos.

It's a special challange to get a shot of a wild animal, free to roam, with a wide angle lens. It's a different approach than the almost studio like shots with long lenses, where the background is completely blurred out. Sometimes it's also nice to show the environment the animal lives in.

Ahh, summer camp. For some of us this was a staple of our childhood, and it is definitely one for my children. I haven't been posting often because we have been away for weeks at our church campground on Lake Ontario. This is the road leading out of the campgrounds, the beginning of the nearly four hour drive home. Looking in the rearview mirror you can already see the heads drooping in the back seats as the "camp adrenaline" wears off and exhausted teens and children start falling asleep. It's the long road home, and the cementing of yet another round of memories.

A visit back to a beautiful barn in Alberta, but the star here is the fabulous wispy clouds in the wide open blue skies. I paused on this shot until the gull flew into the zone that I wanted it in, and really liked that little additional detail when I reviewed the image. Here in Ontario we've seen a lot of rain and grey skies so far this spring, so this bright, summery image is a great antidote for more grey!
