Here's the body of my 400mm f/3.5 Nikkor. Sorry about the shallow depth of field, I didn't feel like getting a tripod out and stopping down. I won't pick it up by my D90..I'm afraid it'd rip the mount right out of the camera. Now I need a monopod!
Full manual settings on a nikon D5000 with a 30 year old macro lens and an even older dejur 2x teleconverter.. Image is not cropped 1:1
Nikkor 80-200/4 Ais @ 200mm f4
Being Helsinki such a flat city Tuomiokirkko summit dominates the city landscape and can be seen from quite many different parts of town. This shot was taken in the afternoon from Suomenlinna a couple of months ago, and only now I decided to upload it to Flickr since I find it quite an interesting prespective.
Went out and picked up a near mint condition AF-n Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 ED (non-D) today. It was too good of a price to pass up. And the shop gave me a B+W filter with it.
Today's weather has been quite cloudy and grey.
I'm thinking, the OOF area blur isn't as pleasing as the AIS version, but it could be just in my head.
The manual focus on this AF lens is no where as nice a feeling as the AIS, but it's very usable. Million times better than my 28-105mm Nikkor AF's focus action.
It's longer than the AIS, but skinnier and lighter. I think it'll work great on my F4s :)
