This photo was taken during an evening walk with my venerable Soviet Helios 44-3M MC 58 mm f/2 M42 MMZ. It's a very flawed lens that, when used carefully, is capable of producing wonderful images with a dream-like low contrast swirly feeling.

I'd had about 6 hours of sleep total in the previous two nights from getting up so early and staying late for the last light on the Sandhill colt, and had almost left right before I looked up to see some action starting with a few Roseate Spoonbills. This was one of my favorites of the series, and I was really glad I hadn't left!

Went to a Florida Flea Market with my new vintage lens find. This is one photo that kind of caught my attention. Lighting was quite poor.
