I do not remember what lens I used on this

This firework-creation reminded me of a cross between sea urchin and a sea anemone :). Again, it was the result of purposefully adjusting the manual focus during a long exposure of the explosion. Fun stuff!

The only way this image could tell the story of Eastern Alberta more is if there was also an oil tank somewhere in the image. Unfortunately the oild tanks don't make for much of a picture. Eastern Alberta is full of farms and fields, and some beautiful old barns. If you like this type of photo there are all kinds of great opportunities there. This was shot near Lloydminster, which straddles Alberta and Saskatchewan. I didn't get a chance to do astrophotography on this trip, but the huge, open skies would provide a fabulous opportunity. I love the Voigtländer 20mm lens because it allows me to carry a wide focal length in a tiny form factor. It isn't particularly sharp, but stopped down it gets the job done and has beautiful color rendition.

Technical Information: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Voigtländer Color Skopar 20mm f/3.5 | Processed in Adobe Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure X2 (use code "dustinabbott" to get 10% off)
