The head of the Manfrotta 725B tripod. It's a very small head, not able to carry a lot of weight.
But it's good enough for a D40 and it weighs about 1/4 of my big tripod.

Never thought I'd get so excited about a photography tripod but YAY, my Manfrotto MT055XPRO tripod & MHXPRO3W X-PRO 3-Way Head (the latter with Retractable Levers and Friction Controls with Two Replacement Quick Release Plates, no less) arrived!
I bought these to make my found object art photography (and photography of art) easier.
Thanks so much to the Photo.net community for their advice!

My new Manfrotto 190XPro B and 322RC2 ball head came in. The 322 ball head is really nice, but a bit heavier than I was expecting. I love how well it grips and how quick and easy it is to use. The 190X is fantastic compared to my shoddy old Sunpak tripod.
Too bad the carbon fiber version was so expensive, I would have loved the reduced weight.
