Little late for a fireworks Friday post. But there was a live video stream on today for the 24 hr Monstrous Summer Blast at Magic Kingdom. And what was so cool was that my nephews wife and my 2 Great Great nieces were at Magic Kingdom for the 24 hr blast and they were waving at me and talking to me on the phone while I was watching them on tv at Magic Kingdom, It was so cool. They made this old man very happy.

Look how their hair are differently styled. Taiwan box background is metallic magenta, Philippine is mat, less pink, much red. Also Philippine doll's hands are secured, while Taiwan are free (however it's note the rule - I have seen many different variations). Fabrics used are not the same as well - look at their tops :)
Whilst browsing through my pics bin I found three shots of flasks headed by a class 20 but, each one had a different type of loco behind. I probably never uploaded them before because they were all load one.
20308 & 20309 open up as they leave Carlisle at the head of 6C53, the 06:30 Crewe-Sellafield flask train (diverted via Shap) on 12 July 2011. The train left the WCML at Upperby Bridge Junction and joined the Cumbrian Coast line near here at Currock Junction by way of Upperby and Bog Junctions.
The attractive red sandstone mills at Holme Head can be seen in the background. Immediately above the rear of the single flatrol that makes up this train, one can just make out the Holme Head Bay weir, built to exploit the River Caldew, the river's “magic” properties so important to the textile industry in Carlisle.
New that year at the River of Lights was an optional early entry - no crowds and, I think, a more interesting photo experience with some light (and a moon) in the sky.

December 11, 2018: River of Lights in Albuquerque's BioPark
After 12 years living in ABQ, we finally got our act together and visited the River of Lights - a holiday walk through the Albuquerque Botanic Garden, decorated with over 500 light sculptures and displays and millions of twinkle lights.
Some fun stuff, lifted from the website:
- We have over 550 light displays and animated sculptures ranging from a 1-foot flower to a 30-foot Brontosaurus
- To make a 1-foot sculpture takes an average of six hours, whereas the Brontosaurus took nearly 600 hours
- Setup starts in mid-September, and it takes a crew of 10 to place sculptures and twinkle light the Botanic Garden
- All our sculptures are stored in two giant warehouses and four storage containers
- Many of our sculptures are created in pieces for easy installation and storage
- Our first T-Rex was modeled after a wind-up toy
- We use over 100,000 zip ties annually to attach rope light to our sculptures
- There are over 200 miles of twinkle lights scattered through the Botanic Garden
- Over 12 miles of extension cords are running electricity to all our sculptures and twinkle lights
Took this while staking out deers. Unfortunately they never showed up, even if I could hear them 'barking' in the distance.
So, the amazing customiser Maxxie James made me this beautiful magic pumpkin to go with my Cinderella dolls. He'd known I'd always wanted a pumpkin and was kind enough to make this little beauty for me. It is beyond perfect! The vines and leaves are so beautiful, and it is painted down to the smallest detail. It even has a gold shimmer! I'm so in love with it! I've been so busy since returning from WDW last week that I've barely looked at the photos I took while there but since most of the photos are fall/Halloween themed, I really need to get moving while they're still relevant!
This was around mid-night and it was quiet and peaceful on the street while the snow kept coming down in flurries. Magic.
Dug this one out from June 2010 trip. I remember it was really hot and humid that night,know more June trips for me. Thanks everyone for looking.
