Al fin llegó el día tan esperado…el sueño de cualquier niña, o de cualquier mujer con alma de niña en este caso!!: Magic Kingdom. La ciudad de las princesas.
El día no ayudaba mucho, el pronóstico nos tiró las ilusiones abajo con un 60% de probabilidades de lluvia. Pero otro día no podíamos ir…era éste.
En la parada del micro estaba lleno de niños saltando ansiosos por subir. Casi hasta la otra esquina llegaba la cola. Y sí, hoy había horas mágicas.
Magic Kingdom es el parque más grande de todos, y si íbamos a estar paseando por más de doce horas, mejor que esperáramos el otro micro así viajábamos sentados.
Gracias al cielo el otro micro llegó atrás del que iba lleno. Nos sentamos, y…no puedo negar que hubo siestita de por medio. (Recordá esto porque es el ÚLTIMO domingo que me levanto a las 7 de la mañana).
Llegamos. Un universo de gente, corrían de acá para allá. “Si nos perdemos, nos vamos a buscar en el último lugar con toldo que estuvimos” Ok?
Caminamos por esas calles inundadas de globos y brillos de princesas. La calle principal daba al tan soñado castillo de Cenicienta, y a medida que íbamos llegando, la música iba llenando nuestros oídos. Qué pasa ahí?
Una multitud rodeaba el castillo y aplaudía, sonreía, saludaba. Nos abrimos paso entre la gente y vimos un show de baile, canto y luces en el castillo. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Peter Pan, y las princesas con sus respectivos príncipes bailaban de acá para allá.
Pose final y…aplausos!!! Brindaron un show hermoso, fantástico, como sólo Disney sabe hacerlo.
La niña mayor estaba encaprichada con cenar en el castillo de Cenicienta. (Sí, hay un restaurant y sólo se come con reserva). $60 dólares por persona, y cara de perrito mojado de por medio. QUE?? WTF??? COMO QUE ESTÁ COMPLETO? Mis ilusiones cayeron al piso.
Nos subimos al tren que rodea todo Magic Kingdom, que nos llevó hasta la estación de “Frontierland”, el juego había comenzado.
Fuimos a conocer la isla de Tom Sawer, nos llevaron en unas balsas hasta esa isla. Estaba lleno de puentes y fuertes con armas, y pasadizos que no voy a negar que me dieron miedo. ¡¡Es que estaban oscuros!! Sí, pasé de la mano de mi papá y de mi hermana.
Cuando nos aburrimos de pasear por la casa del señor Tom, nos tomamos la balsa de vuelta a Frontierland, y mientras esperábamos a que se haga el turno del Fast-Pass de la montaña rusa de agua, fuimos a ver un show de pájaros.
Entramos como si fuera a un nido, y había todos loros colgando del techo. Sí, esos loros que tenías cuando eras chiquitita, con pilas, y que repetían lo que le hablabas. Empezaron a cantar, bajaron misteriosamente del techo el loro de Aladdín y el loro del Rey León y empezaron a pelearse jaja fue genial. El show estuvo buenísimo, hasta en un momento las paredes que tenían caras talladas empezaron a cantar y mover los ojos.
Después pasamos a volar en la alfombra de Aladdín. Nada del otro mundo, es como las ballenas en el parque de la costa. Pero estaba bueno porque “la alfombra” donde estábamos sentados tenía como un control donde vos controlabas si la alfombra bajaba o subía, y tenías que esquivar un chorro de agua que tiraba un camello que estaba al costado.
Después fuimos a ver un show de osos que cantaban y bailaban en un teatro. Malísimo, aburridísimo, siesta.
Se hizo la hora del desfile, todas las calles de “Adventureland” estaban cortadas, la gente se ubicaba detrás de la soga. Ahí vienen! Y otra vez, Disney brindó un desfile como sólo ellos saben hacerlo. Carros, bailes, cantos, saludos. Todos los personajes, incluídas las princesas por supuesto.
Le siguió la montaña rusa de agua. Yyyy, se veía jodida esa caída. No, no, pero si te sentás en el asiento de atrás no te mojás tanto. Y si te agachás, menos. Bueno está bien, dale dale.
Interminable se me hizo esa montaña rusa. Pensé que era una cagada, que te mojabas un poquito y ya. En un momento se hizo todo oscuro, y no te miento, habremos caído como cuatro segundos. Los más largos de mi vida, y mi panza ya estaba con un vacío terrible. Perdón…y ésa no era la caída que se veía desde afuera. Ahh mamita cuando vino la otra! Estaba más que cagada. Igual no fue tanto, y si me preguntan, no me mojé. Papá salió feliz como un niño con chiche nuevo jaja
Fuimos a almorzar. De repente, todo negro. Lluvia, pilotos, paraguas. La segunda función del desfile terminó antes de lo previsto, las princesas en los carros estaban con paraguas. ¡¡Por fin Mary Poppins usó su paraguas!! Pero no paraba de llover. Llovía, llovía, llovía, como llueve en Baires cuando hace 3 semanas hace un calor insoportable. Y no paraba. Corriendo por debajo de los techos nos metimos en una función de la historia de los presidentes de Estados Unidos. Siestita. Salimos. ¿Seguirá lloviendo? Sí. Fuck. Bueno bueno bueno. Vamos a ese otro lugar que tiene techito.
Fuimos a la mansión embrujada. Era un trencito que te llevaba por una mansión que estaba embrujada, veías a esqueletos bailar y tumbas que se movían. Fantasmas bailaban por todas partes, y de repente cuando el carro pasaba delante de un espejo, veías sentado a un fantasma al lado tuyo. Jajaja fue genial. Es de la peli “Mansión Embrujada” con Eddie Murphy (O como se escriba) no es de terror gente, tranki…
Salimos. ¿Sigue lloviendo? Sí, sigue…bueno vamos a ese otro y si cuando salimos sigue lloviendo vemos que hacemos. Piratas del Caribe fue el que siguió. También era un bote que te llevaba por un laberinto donde te contaba la historia de los piratas del caribe. En un momento apareció Jack Sparrow en muñeco, y puedo jurar que era Jonny Deep en persona de lo bien que estaba hecho.
Decidimos separarnos por unos minutos cuando salimos, mis medias estaban mojadas y tenía frío. Papá se quedó tomando un café en un barcito y nosotros fuimos al hotel en busca de provisiones para la lluvia. Entre ida y vuelta habremos tardado una hora, y ya por suerte cuando volvimos a entrar al parque se había calmado la lluvia mala.
Los juegos estaban volviendo a abrir, y nos pudimos subir a un bote que te llevaba tipo Safari por una selva en “Adventureland”. La chica-guía hablaba mucho y se reía raro.
Al fin terminamos con esas dos tierras. Era la hora de “Fantasyland”. Entramos a un lugar que estaba lleno de brillitos y purpurina por todos lados. Nos subimos a un botecito muy coqueto, que nos llevó por un caminito de agua donde había muñecos que cantaban la fucking canción que te ponen en el teléfono cuando te dejan en espera. A ver si la puedo cantar: “Ta na na na na, ta na na na na, ta na na na na, ta na na na na, tananá tananá, tananá, tananá, tanana na na na naaaaaaahhh” bueno, ya. Me rompió la cabeza. En un momento me empezó a dar miedo, porque los muñecos seguían cantando y bailando, con sus caritas tan felices, y sus movimientos repetidos. Rezé para que se terminara rápido.
Papá quiso ir al carrusel. Yo no me opuse, obvio. Y nos subimos al carrusel! Jajaja recordé viejos tiempos, fue lindo. Igual me marié un poco, yo no entiendo como los pibes no vomitan.
Después nos subimos a un carrito que nos iba contando la historia de Blancanieves y los siete enanitos. No pude sacar fotos porque ese carrito era una mierda, se movía para todos lados!!
Y para no cortar con la rutina, fuimos a ver una película 3D de Mickey y la música. No es necesario ni describir como fue, porque fue como las otras. Efectos especiales hasta la manija. En un momento empezaron a aparecer frutas y tortas, y de repente en la sala había un olor a cereza y frutilla que ni te imaginás. Excelente.
Se hicieron las 22. Había nuevamente un desfile. Las luces de todo Magic Kingdom se apagaron, y los carros de Disney empezaron a aparecer. Todos llenos de luces de colores, hasta los trajes. Hadas, mariposas, pavos reales…de todo hubo. Sin dejar de mencionar a todos los personajes de Disney. Ya ni me sorprende ver la capacidad que tienen estos tipos para cumplir con su slogan “Dreams come true” o algo así ahora no me acuerdo como corno se escribe jaja.
Y después de eso, caminamos hasta el castillo de Cenicienta y hubo un show de fuegos artificiales alrededor del castillo. Como te puedo explicar que un show de fuegos artificiales de Disney no es un showcito así nomás que tiran cañitas voladoras y ya. Fue absolutamente mejor que el de Disney Hollywood. Fue terrible, hermoso, espectacular. Cuando digo que no tengo palabras para describir es porque en realidad es así. No las tengo. Fue totalmente asombroso, se me puso la piel de gallina, y tengo que admitir que me emocioné mucho. Obviously, todo grabado.
Fuimos al bote de Peter Pan. Pero no flotaba en el agua!! Este bote iba por el aire, y vos mirabas para abajo y con todos los muñecos te iban contando la historia. Como los demás, pero en vez de mirar a los costados, mirabas para abajo. Muy bueno.
Bueno, insistí mucho che, y fuimos a la historia de Winnie Pooh. Una mierda jajaj era para nenes chiquitos, pero bueno me gusta mucho winnie :$
Pasamos a “Toontown” y conocimos la casa de Minnie, Mickey y del pato Donald. Entramos a la granja de Goofy y nos subimos a su montaña rusa, que obvio, era para chiquitos. Igual, ojaldre porque iba rápidongui ehh jajaja. Llegamos y pedimos otra! Otra! Y como no había nadie en el parque fuimos por la segunda vuelta.
Empezó a lloviznar de nuevo. Ya habíamos entrado en “Tomorrowland”, y nos metimos en el juego de Buzz Lightyear, donde nos subimos a unas naves espaciales que flotaban en el aire y teníamos dos armas para matar a los malos, mientras que cuando le pegábamos juntábamos puntos. La nave espacial también la teníamos que manejar con una palanca. Genial.
Monsters inc le siguió. Entramos a como si fuera un teatro, y enfrente nuestro había una pantalla súper gigante donde estaban los personajes de Monsters inc, que el objetivo del juego era llenar el tanque ese amarillo de la peli, con risas nuestras.
No te puedo contar como hicieron porque no lo sé. Pero los personajes que aparecían en la pantalla hablaban con el público, y no era nada programado. Nos hicieron reír ni te cuento. Imaginate que yo no cazo una en inglés y me cagué de risa. Genial.
Y el último juego…el de Stich. Era una teletransportación de Stich de su planeta marciano, que entró adentro de la sala donde estábamos sentados y nos escupía, nos tocaba y saltaba por todos lados, pero vos no lo veías porque había veces que estaba todo oscuro. Fue genial, igual cuando me tocó el hombro me asusté jaja
Chau Disney…ojalá en otro momento de mi vida nos volvamos a cruzar. Nos quedaron pendientes montañas rusas, que cuando vuelva no me las voy a perder.

Heres information about central florida broadcast stations
Broadcast Tower,WFTT-TV is the Telefutura affiliate for Tampa Bay, owned by Univision and operated by Entravision, owners of WVEA-TV. The station, which broadcasts on UHF channel 50, is based at WVEA's studios on Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, and transmits from Riverview. WFTT can be seen on cable throughout the Bay Area on Bright House channel 5, and on Comcast in Sarasota County on channel 23.
With the completion of the 442.550 repeater in Riverview at 805ft in January, the western pointing antenna on the 442.825 repeater caused a expected overlap that was unnecessary. Since 442.550 now blankets Hillsborough County, we have as of April 11th taken the antenna off the west leg of the Pebbledale tower site at 800ft and moved it to the east leg of the tower. What does mean for users? The tower has a 7 foot wide face, which creates a null that is created behind the antenna. This null used to face a huge portion of Polk County. By moving this antenna to the east, the null is now facing essentially Brandon/Riverview, where 442.550 is now located at 805ft. So far we have gotten incredible results from users in eastern Polk County. Some users in Sebring reporting almost full scale signal, and mobile users with hand helds on 27 at 5 watts can use 442.825 now. None of this was previously possible. So with this move, expect to hear more Polk, Osceola and I-4 corridor area users making it into the network.
A nother tower WVEA (channel 62) is Tampa Bay, Florida's first Spanish-language TV station, which had its start in the early-1980s as low-powered W50AC ch.50, which offered programming from the Spanish International Network (SIN), the forerunner of today's Univision. In 1988, to make way for new HSN flagship WBHS (now WFTT-TV), the station relocated to channel 61 and became W61BL. In the mid-1990s, the station was re-called "WVEA-LP". In 2000, WVEA's parent company, Entravision, acquired Sarasota English independent WBSV channel 62, with the intent of moving the transmitter from Venice to the antenna farm at Riverview. WBSV signed on May 3, 1991 as the Sarasota area's own independent station, designed to compete against WWSB and the other stations in the Tampa Bay and nearby Ft. Myers markets. Licensed to Venice, Florida the call letters stood for Bradenton, Sarasota, Venice, the three cities it primarily served. But, WBSV was eternally in red ink, and relied more on home shopping and infomercials to keep the station afloat....
And then,WTVT, channel 13, is a television station in Tampa, Florida. It is an owned and operated station of the Fox Broadcasting Company, a subsdiary of the News Corporation. WTVT's studios are located in Tampa, and its transmitter is located in Riverview, Florida.
Overall the WUSF (89.7 FM) is an NPR-member radio station licensed to Tampa, Florida, USA. The station is currently owned by the University of South Florida. WUSF signed on in 1963, seven years after USF's founding in 1956.

WFSU is the callsign (or variations thereon) for public radio stations operated by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. WFSU also operates 3 radio stations that serve northern Florida: * WFSU-FM 88.9 FM: Tallahassee-based news/talk/public affairs station carrying several NPR programs and overnight BBC World Service programming. Also heard on these low-powered repeaters: * 97.1 - Carrabelle * 106.1 - Marianna * 96.7 - Apalachicola * 93.7 - Downtown Tallahassee (necessary because the main WFSU transmitter must conform its signal to protect WTSU in Troy, Alabama) * WFSQ-FM 91.5 FM: Tallahassee-based classical music station. WOMX is a radio station located in the Orlando, Florida area and broadcasts at 105.1. WOMX 105.1 plays the "Best MIX of the 80s, 90s and Today," though the station programming focuses mostly on rock and modern rock music from the 90's and 2000's. Every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Mix 105.1 presents Friday Night 80's. The "Saturday Night Party MIX" airs every Saturday night from 7 p.m. to midnight. The station's digital transmitter is located in Christmas. Onwed by Cox Enterprises, WRDQ is sister to ABC affiliate WFTV. The two stations share studios on East South Street in downtown Orlando. WRDQ offers the Retro Television Network on its second digital subchannel. It can also be seen on Bright House digital channel 1028. Syndicated programming on WRDQ includes: South Park, Scrubs, Merv Griffin's Crosswords, Oprah, According to Jim, and George Lopez. The station can be considered an alternate ABC affiliate. As such, it may take on the responsibility of airing ABC programs whenever WFTV may not be able to do so as in a news-related emergency.
WXPX is a television station licensed to Bradenton, Florida. Operating on channel 66, it is an ION Television affiliate, owned and operated by ION Media Networks (formerly Paxson Communications), which has owned the station since its founding in 1994. Current programming on WXPX is virtually the same as other ION affiliates -- infomercials throughout the day and during the overnights, plus ION programming in the evenings. WXPX also shows Tampa Bay Lightning hockey, Orlando Magic basketball, some college football and Tampa Bay Rays baseball, though most of these games are in the evenings only, as WXPX tend to reserve non-prime-time hours for infomercials. Rays games air in high definition on WXPX in the 720p format, the same format as FSN Florida, the producers of the games (See: [1]). The only local programming on WXPX is i on Tampa (public affairs) and the aforementioned Rays and Magic games. This Magic Carpet Monday shot is a picture I have been after for almost two years. It's taken me so long to get a picture I am happy with because, for one, the carpet moves really fast in this extremely dark scene, and the second reason is that I have a phobia of ISOs over 800. Lol.
I spent quite a bit of time processing this, so if you something that I could improve upon please let me know. Constructive criticism is always appreciated :)

Some background:
The Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard (trans. "battle flag") is a French carrier-borne strike fighter aircraft designed by Dassault-Breguet for service with the French Navy. The aircraft was an advanced development of the Étendard IVM, the first of three prototypes, an IVM modified with the new engine and some of the new avionics, made its maiden flight on 28 October 1974. Original intentions were for 100 Super Étendard aircraft to be ordered for the French Navy, however the order placed was for 60 of the new model with options for a further 20; further budget cuts lead to only 71 Super Étendards being purchased in the end for the Aéronavele, with deliveries starting in June 1978.
In the first year of production, 15 Super Étendards were produced for the French Navy, allowing the formation of the first operational squadron in 1979. Dassault produced the aircraft at a rough rate of two per month, which was kept up until 1983.
Foreign customers were few: The Argentinian Navy would place an order for 14 aircraft to meet their requirements for a capable new fighter that could operate from their sole aircraft carrier. Furthermore a total of five Super Étendards were loaned to Iraq in 1983 while the country was waiting for deliveries of Agave-equipped Dassault Mirage F1s, capable of launching Exocet missiles that had been ordered. A third user of the Super Étendard with a similar background to the Iraq solution was the German Navy, with its land-based air arm, called the Marineflieger.
In the late 70ies, the German air force was about to replace its Starfighters, which had never been the Marinefliegers' first choice. Actually, in 1958 Germany chose the Starfighter to replace the already outdated F-84 and F-86 versions in use by then. For political reasons the Marineflieger had to join this decision, though their demands were quite different. The German Navy was looking for a two-seat, twin-engined aircraft to replace the old Seahawks, with the Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer being their favourized aircraft.
Neverthless, a rather political decision to buy the Starfighter for both German air arms was made, and consequently total of 132 Starfighters were acquired for naval service, including F-104G as maritime attack aircraft (equipped with Kormoran anti-ship missiles), RF-104G for maritime reconaissance and TF-104G as trainers. In addition to this, a small number of two-seat F-104F saw operational use with the Navy's Jet Air Wings. Introduction of the F-104 into naval air arm service began in september 1963, with MFG 1 being the first unit to be equipped with Germany's new standard weapon system. Sister Wing MFG 2 joined the Starfighter club in march of the following year.
Anyway, almost 20 years later and with the advent of the Panavia Tornado, the Marineflieger would finally receive the aircraft they had originally been calling, and the F-104Gs were starting to be phased out from 1980 on. Production of the Tornado and its delivery to both Luftwaffe (which had priority) and Marineflieger wings was lagging behind schedule, though, and in order to bridge that gap Germany decided in Febraury 1981 to lease the relatively new French Super Étendard. The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk and LTV A-7 Corsair II had been considered, too, but the French type eventually turned out to be the most economical and modern solution.
A total of 16 aircraft were ordered, and these were diverted from the running production lines. Delivery started in early 1982, when the scheduled Starfighter retirement and replacement was about to begin. All machines are allocated to MFG 2. In parallel, MFG 1 had the honours to be the first Bundeswehr unit to be equipped with the Tornado IDS multirole aircraft, as they started conversion in 1982. Before that, the multi-national conversion units in the UK had already received the initial Tornado trainer aircraft since 1980.
The German Super Étendards were given the tactical codes of 42+01 to 42+16 and were originally delivered in the standard Marineflieger camouflage of uniform grey upper surfaces (RAL 7012, Basaltgrau) and light grey lower sides (RAL 7035, Lichtgrau), in a pattern that was identical to the French aircraft.
Outwardly the German Super Étendards did not differ from its French cousins, since the aircraft were to be given back after only a few years of use - it was planned to keep the French fighters until 1986, when all Starfighters would have been replaced by Tornados. The Marineflieger "Sue" (nicknamed "Susi" or "Suse" by German crews, an abbreviation of the German female first name "Susanne") had no special features, as these were more or less French stock aircraft, but some components and avionics were changed.
For instance, the German aircraft were modfied to carry and launch up to two AS.34 Kormoran missiles, and they were already prepared to carry the updated Kormoran 2 with a digital data bus, a bigger warhead and longer range. They were also able to carry indigenous equipment like the 'Cerberus' ECM pod or the Swedish BOZ-101 chaff/flare pod - both of these as well as the Kromoran 2 were also to carried by the Tornados, and the Super Étendards would already be used fotr practice and evaluation.
The new AGM-88 HARM missile was reserved for the Tornado, though, so that the Super Étendard was primarily tasked with anti-ship and CAS tasks. For self-defense, the German Super Étendards were able to carry the AIM-9 Sidewinder instead of the French Matra Magic AAM. An Orpheus IV reconnaissance pod could be carried on thone of the inner wing pylons, with a drop tank for balance on the other side.
In the course of their short German service (which actually lasted until 1987, when the last Starfighter was retired from Marineflieger service), the Super Étendards were also used to test experimental camouflage schemes. 42+10, 42+12 and 42+15 started to carry very different liveries from 1983, and the results eventually lead to the Marineflieger Tornados' 'Norm 87' wrap-around paint scheme, consisting of RAL 7009 (Grüngrau), 7012 (Basaltgrau) and 5008 (Graublau).
No aircraft was lost during the leasing service. All aircraft were, after a major overhaul, integrated into the Aéronavale from 1988 on.

The kit and its assembly:
The idea for this model was inspired by a profile designed by fellow user PantherG at whatifmodelers.com, showing a German Super Étendard in a fictional Marineflieger style paint scheme. I've been fascinated by the Tornado's Norm '87 scheme - but rather not by the Tornado itself. So I was happy to have an "excuse" to build a respective what-if model, taking a virtual idea to hardware.
The model is the standard Academy Super Étendard in 1:72, which is well-detailed - only the cockpit can take some attention, esp. the ejection seat, which I replaced completely, and I also added a Matchbox pilot which had to have its legs cut off, since the cockpit seems to be designed for Asian body measures... pretty tight in there!
Basically the kit was kept OOB. Only changes were made to the ordnance, which was taken from a German Tornado (Italeri). I also drilled open the air brakes' holes under the fuselage, and lowered the flaps for a more lively look. Overall, the Sue is rather clean and not really interesting - so any additional detail helps, I guess.
Painting and markings:
This took some legwork, since I wanted to stay true to reality, despite creating a whif.
The tactical code 42+XX has so far never been allocated to a German aircraft type, but it would perfectly fit in time before the Tornado (which has 43+XX and higher numbers).
The paint scheme is supposed to be experimental - and actually both Luftwaffe and Marineflieger had been testing tactical camouflage schemes for air superiority as well as ground attack purposes on a wide range of aircraft in the 70ies and 80ies, including F-4F, RF-4E, Alpha Jets and later also Tornados. Anyway, I decided to stay close to the "real" Norm 87 scheme, which is a bit different from what PantherG suggested in his drawings.
The colors I used are authentic: RAL 7009 "Grüngrau" is Revell 67, RAL 7012 "Basaltgrau" is Revell 77 and RAL 5008 "Graublau" is available as Xtracolor X264. Consulting real RAL color samples as benchmarks, I muist say that the Revell tones are very good, but the Xtracolor paint is pretty far off. X264 is rather a dark petrol blue, reminiscent of FS35042. Graublau is much more dull and grey-ish, rather a bluish FS36081 - and on real aircraft it almost looks like tar, no blue hue at all to detect.
Anyway, I still used X264, since my 42+15 would sport an experimental paint scheme, so it would not matter much - and X264 would still be the darkest tone of the paint scheme, with good contrast to RAL 7009 and 7012, which are very similar and have almost no contrast. Interesting scheme, though, esp. due to its large color bandages all around the hull instead of smaller patches or stripes.
Best alternative I could find is Humbrol 77, which is still too greenish, though - mixing it 1:1 with Humbrol 32 might yield something that comes close to RAL 5008.
With a little shading with lighter tones (including RLM 71 from Testors, Humbrol 79 and 77, as well as some acryllic dark grey as an overall filter), a black ink wash and some dry-brushing the contrast was enhanced and the surface slightly weathered. German aircraft were kept in good shape, but at times the weather and sunlight would take their toll and bleach the colors, esp. on the upper sides - RAL 7012 would quickly deteriorate into a relatively light grey with a slight, purple hue!
Both Cerberus and BOZ-101 pods were painted in different shades of grey, though, as if they'd belong to a differently camouflaged Marineflieger aircraft. The Kormoran missiles were painted according to pics of the real thing, in a dark olive drab color.
National markings and some German stencils were taken from an Xtradecal sheet for German Tornados, as well as from a sheet of an Italeri Tornado with Luftwaffe markings. The tactical codes were created from single digits from a respective TL Modellbau decal sheet.
Cockpit interior was painted in a very dark grey, according to pictures from the real Sue. The air intake interior and the landing gear wells were kept in aluminum (Humbrol 56), while the landing gear struts received a mix of aluminum and white.
In the end, a simple project: only a fantasy paint scheme and some minor changed details to the OOB kit. But the German wraparound scheme suits the Sue well, and its service introduction in France as well as the retirement of the German Starfighters in the early 80ies makes this a potentially convincing and plausible whif. And, honestly, it was actually a relief from some recent major kit conversions and kitbashings - and a tribute to the creative spirit of PantherG at whatifmodelers.com. ^^

Magic Island was a restaurant in Houston, Texas that featured a magic show and dinner at a high price. It closed after Hurricane Katrina and has never reopened since. Locked up pretty well, it has suffered ok against time, looters, and the elements. It has some holes in the roof, there has been a fire, and it has no electricity. With the permission of the people in charge of the property I was allowed to go through and photograph it before it is lost for all time. Most of these photos are either close up with a flash or I painted with my flashlight while the camera was on a tripod. There are disco balls, sarcophagi, a theater and a steam punk elevator. I had never been there before and it was interesting to go from room to room and have no idea what I would see next.
