The All-Justin Band.

(Seriously - that's me with different clothes on, playing all the instruments).

What I did was film myself playing them, then overlapped the footage on top of the other. Unfortunately it diminishes the previous scene so it looks like the All-Ghost Justin Band.

I'm all playing an excerpt of the Madness song "In the City."

And I didn't have a saxophone so I improvised with a roll of paper towels.

I'm sorry if it's really hard to see (particularly the lead singer, drummer and pianist) but if you look closely you'll find a hint of me somewhere (my feet on the ground, my head just visable in front of the saxophonist...) And just my hands are seen playing the keyboard.

Opening for MADE UP. An exhibit of design fictions curated by Tim Durfee.

Opening Night had lectures by Finoa Raby (Dunne + Raby), the always entertaining Bruce Sterling and Tim Durfee, and moderation by Anne Burdick.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE RV PARK, by Georges Seurat.

It took Seurat two years to complete the ten feet wide painting. At first it had only "l'airstreames" but he then decided to add some people. He was inspired to paint this after he saw Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George. You can see the original at The Art Institute of Chicago.

I love Valentines Day...always have...not for the reasons that some do..not for the romance and gifts and whatever everyone does for the overpriced madeup holiday..but for the sweetness of Valentines Day..for hearts for the love of a child for having a wonderful husband for extra hugs for decorating in pinks and reds and purples...{which most of you know are not really in my color world..LOL..} and my girls havent done Valentines for several years now...but Emily in her senior year of highschool was lucky enough to get a teacher that gave them a class list and asked them to bring Valentines to their Current World Problems class...so she watercolored little cards added a heart with india ink and put on a chocolate Dove heart...Abby needed cookies for Key Club..so we made the usual M&M cookies in the Valentine color mix and put them in Heart cello bags...it was fun..as if they were those little girls again...xo
