I love Valentines Day...always have...not for the reasons that some do..not for the romance and gifts and whatever everyone does for the overpriced madeup holiday..but for the sweetness of Valentines Day..for hearts for the love of a child for having a wonderful husband for extra hugs for decorating in pinks and reds and purples...{which most of you know are not really in my color world..LOL..} and my girls havent done Valentines for several years now...but Emily in her senior year of highschool was lucky enough to get a teacher that gave them a class list and asked them to bring Valentines to their Current World Problems class...so she watercolored little cards added a heart with india ink and put on a chocolate Dove heart...Abby needed cookies for Key Club..so we made the usual M&M cookies in the Valentine color mix and put them in Heart cello bags...it was fun..as if they were those little girls again...xo

1) The Anomalies: Focuses on genetic divergence.

Cloned from the DNA of the ancient human race, these beings are the result of a 750-year period without natural births. Laboratories occasionally subject clones to electrical shocks or introduce a potent yellow liquid known as "thunder-glow." The objective is to enable natural reproduction, allowing the clones to conceive offspring, generate new DNA coding, and move beyond artificial replication.

After the Thunder-glow, it was discovered that it alters DNA, occasionally resulting in the birth of individuals with superpowers.

2) X-z - is a genetic zombie

Human clones can have children, though it is rare for Anomalies to do so. When they do, they produce mutants—superhuman beings without powers who are extremely difficult to kill. X-z, short for "mutant-zombie," is a virus. Many X-z reside in the northern badlands, where humans contain them for study and to develop a cure.

3) Bots

Bots come in many forms, all of which are AI. The most well-known are the Titans, which maintain order in the cities under the directives of Gear-Worth, a division of Protocol-984. This leading robotics company is managed by Miss Charlotte Silver-Pot and CEO Teanna Temptress. All other bots are derived from previous robotic models and human integration.

4) Clones

Clones were created from an ancient race that ceased natural reproduction 750 years ago, a phenomenon that affected both humans and most planetary wildlife. The last generation of natural offspring was born 1,010 years ago. Prior to this, humans attempted to eradicate all viruses and illnesses by modifying their DNA to ensure immunity. Fifty years earlier, humans had developed AI, which subsequently evolved into its own race. The AI altered the genetic code to render humans infertile, a calculated strategy to eventually replace all biological life with machines. The clones now reside within the major cities under the authority of the Titans. Humans remain in power, utilizing advanced technology, robotics, and laboratory corporations to rectify the past.

Characters

1) DR. Banbi Black: Dr. Bambi Black’s primary scientific objective is the reversal of a millennium-long reproductive decline that has rendered natural human procreation obsolete within the city of Protocol-984. Her research is fundamentally focused on identifying the biological catalysts required to restore the human genome to its original, functional state, effectively ending the era of cloning.

To achieve this, Dr. Black manages a complex research agenda at Lust Labs, where she investigates the intersection of genetic engineering and human sexuality. Her work involves the systematic study of "Anomalies"—individuals possessing unique physiological traits—to understand how historical AI-driven DNA modifications have caused widespread genetic stagnation. A critical component of her current research involves analyzing subjects like Lulu Lustful, whose specific genetic profile, characterized by infinite stamina and the absence of a refractory period, is hypothesized to be the key to unlocking the reproductive potential of the population.

Furthermore, Dr. Black is actively engaged in solving the mystery of the "X-z zombies," a phenomenon linked to the broader genetic degradation of her society. Her methodology requires her to bridge the gap between theoretical science and practical application, often involving the development of specialized chemical compounds that alter libido and sexual response, which she then tests to gather the critical data necessary for her genetic restoration project. Her work is not merely clinical; it is a comprehensive effort to reshape the sexual culture of Protocol-984 while she navigates the ethical and logistical challenges of a post-natural reproductive world.

2) Teanna Temptress is a prominent figure within the power structure of the city of Protocol-984, located on the planet Cindergloom. As the CEO of SX5, a corporation specializing in robotics, advanced technology, and laboratory research, she occupies a position of significant authority. Her leadership role grants her substantial control over the development of AI Titans and the regulatory framework governing scientific advancement in the city.

Teanna is an Anomalie, a being born with inherent powers, and was created as a lab clone at clone-lab-42. Although her chronological age is 23, she maintains the physical appearance of a 16-year-old due to DNA modifications that have halted her aging process, a status designated as "16-007A." Her personality is characterized by narcissism, dominance, and a strategic, power-hungry ambition. She is known for her assertive demeanor, often utilizing symbols of authority such as a whip when interacting with subordinates.[1]

Her primary strategic focus involves the "orange mist," a substance derived from the extreme sexual stimulation of other Anomalies, such as Lulu Lusting. Teanna provides financial and operational oversight for Lust Labs, having invested 122 billion volts into the facility. She actively intervenes in research, pushing for the acceleration of mist production to facilitate technological modifications that bypass the need for system shutdowns. Despite the potential crises facing Cindergloom, such as the "zombies" of the northern badlands, Teanna remains focused on her own clandestine objectives, maintaining her private laboratories under strict lockdown to ensure her goals remain obscured from rivals and associates alike

3) Lulu Lusting is a fictional character featured in the narrative work titled Latex Lulu book 1 - The Anomalies. Within this story, she is depicted as a "clone" residing in a high-tech city known as Protocol-984, situated on the planet Cindergloom. The character is characterized by an exceptionally high libido, which the narrative describes as a result of genetic modifications and her status as an "Anomalie"—a classification for individuals born with unique powers.

In the context of the story, Lulu possesses a "sex card," a license that allows her to engage in sexual activity in public spaces within the city. Her character arc involves her employment at "Lust Labs," where she serves as a test subject for Dr. Bambi Black. The narrative explores pseudo-scientific themes, such as the analysis of her genetic markers (including the DRD4 gene) and her role in potential research aimed at addressing biological issues within her fictional world. The character is defined by her preference for latex attire and her constant state of hypersexuality, which the story frames as a mechanism for generating "orange mist," a substance that purportedly influences technology.

4) Vicky Voluptuous: In the dystopian sci-fi universe of Cindergloom, Vicky Voluptuous is a legendary figure of authority and raw power who serves as the high-ranking boss of Lust Labs. She is classified as a highly dangerous Rank 5 Anomaly, a tier of volatile beings capable of generating immense destructive energy. Vicky possesses the formidable Rank 5 superpower known as "Demonic Desire," which grants her the ability of Lust & Pleasure Manipulation.

According to www.iAsk.Ai - Ask AI:

Characterized by her striking red eyes, golden yellow hair, and a height of 5'1", Vicky is a clone born at the Protocol-984 cloning center. Due to her genetically modified DNA code, she does not age; she was cloned and born at the age of 16 and has remained physically 16 for 10 years, making her chronological age 26 (represented in her records as 16-010A). She is depicted as a highly intelligent, bisexual nymphomaniac with a high IQ, a bratty and sly personality, and an addiction to latex fashion and libido-enhancing green stimulants. Operating within the corporate-dominated landscape of Protocol-984 on the planet Cindergloom (located in Universe 17Z9, Multiverse 0018, and Superverse 002), she holds both a sex card license and a lab license to oversee genetic experiments at Lust Labs.

Panel Discussion

MAKING UP presents Fiona Raby and Bruce Sterling, two of the world’s most influential voices at the intersection of fiction and design, joined MADE UP curator Tim Durfee to discuss tactical anachronisms, designing for ambiguous reality, and the re-emergence of speculative practice in the 21st century. Moderated by Anne Burdick, MDP Chair.

Made Up: Design’s Fictions was staged in the 3,000 square foot, 50 foot high Wind Tunnel Gallery at South Campus from January 29 - March 20, 2011. Made Up is work of major and emerging international practices that forecast, hypothesize, muse, skylark, role-play, put-on-airs, freak-out or otherwise fake-it to produce work that is relevant to our increasingly confusing and accelerated world. Selections included a self-recording, 1:1 map of questions and propositions: dreams as program; science fiction as precedent; cults of commerce; objects as ideas; truth-revealing jokes; false histories; and elaborate scenarios.

Dead Tired Clawdeen wearing one of her fashion packs. I loved the 1st Wave DT dolls because of their simple faceups. It was a refreshing change from the usual heavily madeup faces (though I love those, too, of course). What I didn't care for were the dull pj's the dolls came in - making them perfect cadidates for the fashion packs.

Also, it's been a while since I took some pics of Clawdeen, so she needed some attention around here.

Trained in China, Shi Xinning’s paintings are influenced by both social realism and European styles. Using the authoritative qualities of both, Shi embarks on history painting with a twist. Taking his imagery from iconic press photos, Shi’s canvases faithfully represent the world as we know it: the Yalta Conference in familiar 40s sepia tone, the Queen Mum in carriage emblazoned in newspaper black and white. It’s only on second glance that Shi’s alterations become evident. Nestled between Churchill and FDR and conversing happily with royalty, Mao takes his place amongst the great leaders of the 20th century.

In China-fying history, Shi investigates dynamics of both the west’s Eurocentric, and China’s isolationist past world views. Humorously illustrating the Chairman’s import and omnipresence in 20th c Chinese society Shi’s insertion of Mao into the fabric of western collective conscience seems entirely plausible. Infusing the totems of propaganda currency with a sense of normality and humility, Shi re-authors the most cherished moments of collective memory with a ‘Forrest Gump’ effect, creating a specious mythology based in Hollywood schmaltz and unabashed optimism.

Today we rode the E&N dayliner to Courtenay, Bc and return. Ten hours well wasted! This was our annual, dayliner upisland excursion. Most years we just ride the budd car to Qualicum where a two-and-a-half hour layover can be enjoyed to walkabout and enjoy a nice lunch. Inasmuch as we've visited Courtenay overnight for the past thee years, we decided it was time to do the whole 140-mile (railway distances are measured by mileage markers) distance from Victoria to the end-of-the-line. we enjoyed a great day thanks inpart to the friendly and efficient CPR rail staff.

The layover time at Courtenay Station was brief but we did have time to eat our picnic lunch indoors. We were running 17-minutes late (arriving at 13:02 instead of 12:45) due to autumn leaves on the rails. As the train drives over them, they release oils which make the track so slippery the wheels just spin. On certain grades along the route, his brought the train almost to a standstill. An interesting phenomena when travelling at this time of the years. We were lucky: yesterday's train was 30-minutes late. We madeup a bit of time during the return trip arrving at the Blue Bridge only 10-minutes late.

The highlight of the trip for us was waving at the kids who live along the route. Bentley & Sharon's home is on View Royal hillside with a commanding view eastward toward the E&N line. They are familiar with the trains comings&goings but seldom get phonecalls from anyone who may be aboard. This all changed today! Anyway, we enjoyed waving to family members gathered on the front deck waving back. Life's neat, aint it?

P.S. Thanks to Bentley who was driving his unit westbound underneath the Helmcken Rd trestle just as we passed overhead. Serendipity for certainty.
