Our family holiday in 2000 was taken in south Suffolk and north Essex, staying in the small village of Chelmondiston just south of Ipswich. Apart from First Eastern Counties' service 97 from Ipswich to Shotley there was little bus interest in the village so on the last day it was a pleasant surprise to find this vehicle parked up, presumably at its driver's home.
A classic style wedding shoe, updated with a floating pearl ankle ribbon tie for that added wow factor.

Also a good example of Lutonian stop flag here in Manchester Street, now totally pedestrianised and buses banished to further down the road outside the Galaxy Centre. The Merc had been new to Birmingham Coach Company and had arrived in the area with The Shires in 1995. It had then in turn passed to Lutonian during Arriva's ownership of the company in the late 1990's.

As tailoring moved into the street, the original house frontages were altered to bring natural light into the tailors' working area with the addition of glass frontages and light wells.
