A macro photograph capturing the vibrant center of a poppy flower. The intricate details of the dark stamens and the pollen-dusted pistil stand out against the glowing orange-red petals — a mesmerizing close-up view of nature’s artistry.

It is still very much summer in So FL. We get no signs of fall - just heat, humidity and beautiful tropical flowers year 'round.

The lynx spiders are important predators of crop-damaging insects. These spiders are among the major predators of insects occurring in low shrubs and herbaceous vegetation. These spiders seize large numbers of honey bees and other pollinators are favored as prey by lynx spiders. Thus the use of lynx spiders in the control of crop pests will depend in a large part on when, where, on what crops, and for the control of what pests they are to be used.

Macrophotography is such a mediative practice. For me, it is a time to be deliberate with my photography. I am not in a hurry and there is no action shot that I must take.
