Unfortunately, I have no idea the name of this flower, but loved the colors and symmetry.

I shot this many times with several different water patterns and light directions. The end result is so busy it's almost uncomfortable to look at at.

Towards the center of the flower. Used a very strong low temp light.

Finally catching up on my image postings. This is from wonderful outing with friends Jaymi Heimbuch and Sebastian Kennerknecht in the redwood forests surrounding Santa Cruz. Yellow-eyed Ensatina - Ensatina eschscholtzii xanthoptica.

Grasshopper - Saltamontes

Envigado - Antioquia

How are you all doing? I hope everyone is OK :) This one is from my archives of 2012. I love the light on this one, maybe because we are just in the middle of February, and here in PA we still have a long way to go before Spring comes...

This one was taken at the skirts of a lake, and if you look at the background you can almost see the Water Lilies. The title seems to go well to this one, since the Thistle appears to be "hugging" the wild vegetation around it.

My texture, a frame take from "Layer Styles" from Photoshop, and taken with a macro lens.

I love this shade of green in the center of the flower.

Rainette versicolor (Hyla versicolor, Dryophytes versicolor, Gray treefrog) juvénile. Ce spécimen très jeune mesure à peine 17mm. Macro 1:1.

Sometimes photos don't quite turn out how we plan...like this one.🙈 I was intending to take a crisp macro shot of these water droplets, but instead I ended up with this dreamy abstract looking image. Which I love, by the way, much more than the image I thought I was taking 💜

What photos have you taken that you've loved more than the planned shot?
