Grasshopper on flowers

This beautiful bolete was standing proudly amid the moss in my local woods. Even though it was a little rough around the edges, it still made for a lovely photo (at least I think so!)

Just a busy Bee doing its thing during the morning on the grounds of Naval Lives Preserve in Gulf Breeze Florida.

I am always excited when I get a progression of color through the flower. Here the petals are a less saturated gold leading out to the very gold anthers. Thanks for looking.

Don't these look like little eggs poking out of bright green grass?

This is my entry into the MACRO MONDAYS competition theme "Sound" for the week beginning 31 August 2020.

I took this macro photo using an electronic keyboard and a sheet of written music "Clair de Lune" (moonlight) by Claude Debussy.

It was an interesting undertaking, trying to get the camera positioned in a way to show the keys and the music, along with reflections of the music onto the keys. In the end I had my tripod bent in half, with the camera upside down and set about 2mm above the keys, while I moved lights around until I achieved a good reflection. Really fun to do.

Slender springtail, Orchesella flavescens on the wood, close up focus stacked macro photo of a springtail.

This image is manually focus stacked of about 13 images taken at about F5.6 with a Pentax 28mm lens reversed on some extension tubes on a Canon EOS 6D camera...

the ornamental grasses must be producing something sweet for a stretch there because there was a lot of ant activity, which made for some fun photo sessions

Everything about this flower impresses me. The detail, color, geometry, etc. is so naturally impressive.
