Hi everyone!
Today an easy macro shot, fast last minute shot as I was not sure of what to shot today, well I have some ideas but I really need to do them in daylight, well at least one of them needs to be shot in daylight and in the street, hopefully you will see it in the upcoming days, the thing I can tell you about that shot is that it will start a new mini-project which will be part of this 365 as well as the Principles of Levitation, the Alphabet and the Numbers...
Now time to go to bed!
Have a great week you all!

City through the trees - Sony A7S II, Fotodiox Macro Extension Tube, homemade body cap pinhole lens.
We combined a Fotodiox Macro Extension Tube with some toy binoculars to create a DIY soft focus lens. Here are some of the images we created.

Now then, I have not done anything to change the colours on this, it is how it came out with the flash on it, The Meadow Brown is quite common, it doesn`t open its wings that often, but when it does this plain Brown insect is transformed, with the light in the right place, not as sharp as it could be I know

Playing around with water drops again. High speed macro freeze frame photography. 1/8000s with ring light.
Well since this might be my last chance this year to photograph snowflakes, I thought I'd share one from earlier this morning.. It's kind of funny, I actually gave myself a fat lip during the process which is why I gave it this title Fat Lip Flake.
My transceiver to fire my flash was on top of my camera & I went to put my camera over my head & around my neck somehow I misjudged the distance between my camera & face... enough said.
I've been asked if I Photoshop my photos, using a fake background or drawing a background in & no I don't. The background is not Photoshopped in.. I used some shiny neat wrapping paper and placed it a few inches below my glass baking dish which is placed up-side down to keep the distance needed to blur out the background. I also used an off camera flash with a Rogue flash bender.
Strobist info: 1/32 power YN468II triggered with YN622c placed about a foot away from my set up, flash bounced using Rogue flash bender.

At only $25, the Xuan 30mm f/10 Body Cap Lens is one of the cheapest lenses out there, but is it any good? We review this lens here: youtu.be/btX24nM2m-s
Found this little beauty and got in close using my Sony SLT-A33, Minolta AF 50mm and a short stack of extension tubes.
Pronounced ran-UN-kew-lus. The Latin name ranunculus means "little frog". The flower originates from the Middle East. They belong to the Buttercup family (Ranunculaceae)
The structure is very complex, the petals are so tightly packed, it causes a ruffle' effect. The buds are also pale in colour compared to when in full bloom, when they turn vibrant red.
Taken using macro extension tube adapter no. 3 (30mm) and standard 18-55mm lens. Lit with a desk lamp.
A macro autumn leaf photo, captured with a Sony A7S and a Fotodiox Sony E-mount Automatic Macro Extension Tube, back-lit with a FlapJack C-200R LED Edgelight. Check out our Fotodiox YouTube channel to see a video on how we created this image.

Macro is a great way to see detail beyond what you normally take in with your naked eye, like the beautiful detail on this ring captured with the help of a Fotodiox Macro Extension tube. Practically any lens can be a macro - you just need to move the lens further away from your camera's sensor with an extension tube, and Fotodiox has inexpensive macro extension tube kits for all sort of cameras and lenses.
