The purchase of a set of extension tubes for a whole $11 has opened up a new world of possibilities!
Europe, Netherlands, Rotterdam, Sound amplifier, Heat pipes, Macro (cut from all sides)
The heat pipes of the NAD sound amp from the previous shot. Its power output was massive, so there was a lot of heat to be dissipated.
Playing with a 16 mm macro extension tube, which converts the good old Lumix 45-200 to a macro lens.

Desert locust
The desert locust is one of about a dozen species of grasshoppers known as locusts which - unlike other grasshoppers - are able to change their behaviour in response to population density. This enables them to form swarms that can migrate over large distances. Locust swarms vary from less than one square kilometre to several hundred square kilometres. There can be from 40 million to as many as 80 million locust adults in each square kilometre of a swar
A macro extension tube lets you turn any lens into a macro lens, but an auto macro extension tube also lets you control that lens's aperture and autofocus. We used this Fotodiox Micro Four Thirds Auto Macro Tube to capture this macro photo of a stink bug.

I have been listening to mostly 70s electronic music (Kraftwerk, Neu! etc.) and it kind of sounds organic and industrial and abstract, which is what I have tried to capture here.

Yesterday I bought for me new succulent plant for my little collection at home. Succulent plants always fascinate me and this is my another hobby and passion. I decided to take some shots for my 52 weeks project. At first I started with my 18-55 lens, but drops details were so beautiful that I can not resist not to took my macro extension tubes and took some shots of drops details and this you see the results....
Shot for "Our Daily Challenge" on todays theme "Multicolour".
Shot with a full set of cheap (non-electronic) macro xtension tubes on the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro. Two YoungNou YN467 are providing the light, one for the background and one for the toothpick.
