...was well-received but I'm afraid Bubby will never actually use it! She's afraid to mess it up. I don't mind. All I did to make this was push some buttons, basically.

I digitized squares of stitches and embroidered them on two layers of wool felt.

This is my first attempt at machine embroidery.

I've added a machine embroidered stumpwork dragonfly to the imaginary nursery rhyme garden.

I usually hand embroider stumpwork insects but as an experiment I decided to try to use my machine.

It's much clunkier than usual but, as it's a fantasy garden, this isn't a problem

I needed a gift for a Pern fan so I digitized one of the dragons from Renegades of Pern in silhouette form. (And then put the machine-embroidery files as a free download on the Silver Seams website so if you want one you can make your own, possibly after making friends with an embroidery-machine owner. Yeah, sometimes it's like owning a truck.)

Actually, this is part of a purchased design from Embroidery Library titled 'Patterned Scotties'. I decided to use just the Paisley dog and call it a Westie. The RA thread color used to stitch the dogs' body is called Penny.

The sewing pattern is based on several sources, but I've tweaked them a little bit each for each bottle carrier.

This is the Ottobre design Tropical Blend dress in the Summer 3/2011 issue. LOVE it. Want to make it in every size and put beautiful meachine embroidery on the front This embroidery pattern is from Bunny Cup Designs. I turned red work into white work on red fabric. Think it really makes the pattern stand out.

Nice and simple. I really prefer minimalistic cards, and I have no idea why. I did machine embroidered snowflakes on them.
