The cord is not in the bottle holder yet, it closes up and is insulated. The two pockets on the back can hold diapers and clothes. Or it doesn't have to be a diaper bag at all. Get your own - custom made for you - visit my Esty store karrel.etsy.com

I have taken so many pictures and still can't get the right color of the blue to show up. The blue is much more TARDIS looking than the pic shows. :P
In my big book of flatties.
These are experimental dolls which I have decided to attach to book pages and will keep for reference purposes.
This particular range of dolls are made out of wool and calico and are hand and machine embroidered.
WHY is this in the embroidery section?
I'll tell you why: Each of these 5" pieced letter squares that make up this pillow are actually pieced on my embroidery machine! It's an offshoot of the technique called paper-piecing, or sew-and-flip.
Now, I don't know that much about quilting or making quilt blocks. However, I am very big into finding new ways to use my beloved embroidery machine! So, I've made four embroidery files that use the sew-and-flip method to create the letters L,O,V,E! So easy peasy!
This was done for my nephew who is a Marine. All the stars and The Pledge of Allegiance was done on my embroidery machine.
Hand cut Westie shapes in wool-blend felt, applied to wool-blend red felt circles using machine and hand felting. Machine embroidered date on back piece; front and back pieces joined along edges by hand using pearl cotton blanket stitching.

I've been working steadily on my next exhibition piece which is entitled "Brexit - the first lie"
The background fabric is a piece of distressed black denim and I'm adding slits to this to denote the cracks in society caused by the result of the referendum.
These slits are backed with fragments of old paper which I machined over, coloured and varnished.
They will be eventually "papered over"
I need six machine embroidered circles for my new project, so I placed paper circles on to a red backing fabric and machined over them. In order not to waste any fabric I infilled with flowers and small "people"

Kitchen apron for my father. He likes to cook, particulary mediterran food, so the embroidery motif suits well!
He wished an apron in present, so I made this. (I made this by scratch). Dark blue denim.
Embroidery bought at emblibrary.com and sewn out with normal sewing threads....
Asymmetrical collar, made using printed fabric pieces suspended between lengths of machine embroidery. Covered in beads and buttons - vintage and new.
Dramatic machine embroidered free standing lace mask, with white lacy underlay and black satin overlay stitches. Iridescent crystals accent the mask and make it sparkle. Finished with dramatic black and white ostrich feathers, a zebra print flower accent and zebra striped satin ribbon ties (about 16 inches long per side), and dusted with glitter, this mask would be great for any Mardi Gras event, masquerade ball, or even Halloween. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear for hours, despite the feathers.
