Baked by my lovely daughter Holly. I just did the easy work, taking photos and eating them!! They were rather delicious.
The macaroons were easy...the cellophane bags were a real pain. The bags measure a bit less than 1 inch I think.
Beautiful macaroons are one of the current ‘sweet’ crazes. Make a batch, put them in a pretty box tied up with ribbon, and give them to a friend as a dazzling gift.

My neighbours bought me a box of Laduree macaroons for looking after their dog last weekend and I immediately thought they would make a nice photo. They tasted pretty good too...!
I've used natural light with a home made silver foil reflector.

These were my second attempt at French macaroons. The first batch were a bit of a disaster. I managed to salvage about a quarter of them.
This time they came out perfectly! I'm so pleased. They're vanilla and rose flavour.

I've never had French macaroons before, but I found some yesterday in a local shop that specialises in French bread and treated myself to a few. So far I've eaten the orange one
which was apricot flavoured. It was gorgeous!

In France, the past few years, Larry and I have fallen in love with Macaroons. (not the coconut kind) These are light cookies filled with a heavy, sweet, filling. I made chocolat ones for dessert tonight. New Years Dinner is at 3:00.
