A partir de la semana pasada en el “Apple Keynote”, Cupertino ha respondido a la convocatoria de una actualización del MacBook Pro, dando al buque insignia (MacBook Pro), una transformación tanto en el exterior, como en el interior... Continúa leyendo
This is my desk at Columbia Journalism School, where I work as Digital Media Fellow.
A 13" MacBook with a 19" display and a 15" MacBook Pro with a 20" display plus my special creepy friend there in the middle.
Then I've got an XKCD comic on the wall next to a print by Deth P. Sun.
My MacBook Pro that does get really really hot had its battery start to bulge out of the case!
Luckily Apple support is going to send me a new battery. They were not very helpful when I asked about the excessive heat from the laptop. He did tell me that the laptop was not to be put on your "lap" and should be a on a hard surface. I told him that it also gets extremely hot when it is in my bag and sleeping. In response to that he stopped just short of telling me not to put it to sleep. The fact that "it has an Intel chip in it and they get very hot" was also repeated over and over. Ugh.
Must remember that I need to be looking at the Apple logo on top upside-down to successfully open this thing. (Yes, this is the first Mac laptop I've owned.)
MacBook Pro built between 03.07.2006 and 09.07.2006. Serial numbers begin with W862 while the battery is 6N62.

A first generation Unibody MacBook Pro that used to be my work laptop. The screen became unglued near the hinge, and Apple wanted $700 to replace it (not covered by warranty.)
Since it was just glued in the first place, I reglued it with cyanoacrylate and it was good as new until I returned it at the end of my employment over a year later.
NOV 8, 2011 -- Elliott sends an email in the middle of a seminar. Students at Western Kentucky are constantly looking for time to finish tasks.
Now imagine Brennen outside with a 4 foot yagi over his head...
But seriously, our inverter blew up so we drove around looking for a power outlet. The Briggsdale public library was open for another 30 mintues and they had one power outlet in the ceiling of a reading room. We stretched out every cable we had to get power and still receive decode the messages from the radio using the computer.
Ok, it's really a MacBook Pro, I know. Old habits die hard. Anyway, I'd forgotten that a certain little girl had changed my desktop wallpaper - until I booted up whilst seated in the airport departure lounge. My attempt at trying to impress passers-by with my technology didn't quite go to plan..
nevermind the other clamp, i had to use that to keep the case shut for the photo
plastic covers on the clamp removed
My three year old macbook came up on lease at work so we traded them in for new 15" pros on Friday.
Dual GPU, 7200rpm HDs, anti-glare screens .... a sweet machine all around.
This is as bright as my MacBookPro gets-- this has happened 3 different times, once while I was watching the screen. And not, the F1/F2 keys do not help. The only way I have found to resurrect it is to shut it down for a few hours, and then reset the Power Management Unit.
This same MBP spent 2 weeks at Apple for a fan assembly repair and logic board swap- the first screen dim happened 3 days after it returned.
I'm trucking it into the Apple Store today and asking for a replacement. I want an Apple, not a Lemon
