This time of year you can see the mistletoe growing in the trees, but it's always too high to reach ... unless you're a bird!

Pretty Mistletoe Christmas heart hand embroidered with a sprig of mistletoe and the word 'Peace'. I do love mistletoe with its gorgeous leaf shape.

The Mistletoe post office was closed December 30, 1999 at the retirement of Mr AB Couch, who had served since 1970. Due to it's Christmas themed name, the post office cancelled cards with a speical postmark designed by Mr Couch's son. That specially designed Christmas postmark was painted onto the Couch's mailbox after the PO was closed.

Once the host tree leaves have fallen, the dark green mistletoe is easy to spot. Does anyone still kiss beneath the mistletoe? I hope so. (But do not eat the berries!) Upper Tuckahoe Creek, Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The clump of leaves on the left is a stand of mistletoe in an old oak tree that has buds on it ready to pop open!!! All framing the full moon of February!!!
