Mistletoe is waaaaaaaaay off the beaten track. The last 4.5 miles of Left Fork Buffalo Road to Mistletoe is gravel.
The post office was in the back of the old church building for 25-30 years before finally closing December 30, 1999. I was able to speak with Mrs Couch, the widow of the last Mistletoe postmaster. The church-post office sits in her front yard. She remembers going to church as a child here when it was a functioning Presbyterian Church.
Creeping mistletoe Muellerina eucalyptoides in a scribbly gum, Eucalyptus haemastoma, near the start of the Waratah track. There was one runner on this tree, but most of the dangling mistletoe branches appeared to pop directly out of the scribbly gum branches.

The "Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt" is a Christmas market which takes place annually in the run up to Christmas on "Hauptmarkt" square and adjoining streets and squares in the old town of Nuremberg. Around two million people visitor the market every year making the "Nürnberger Christkindlesmarkt" one of the biggest of its kind in Germany and one of the most famous in the world. The Christmas market starts on the Friday preceding the first Sunday in advent and ends on 24 December (unless this is a Sunday).

A young Mistletoe plant pushes it's first few leaves out from the apple tree it is hemi-parasitic on.
We found a lot of this mistletoe around central Australia, the lovely green flowers and grey-green leaves of Amyema maidenii Maiden's Mistletoe.
I hardly ever come across real mistletoe for some reason, so when I saw some today, I had to shoot it - even though it was getting a little wilted. I have some fake mistletoe but I don't ever have real mistletoe in the house because of the pets.

Mistletoe Cottage - Known as the Claflin/Porter Cottage: This house was built in 1900 for Henry Kirke Porter, manufacturer of light locomotives. He was a graduate of Brown University and studied theology. He was associated with many social and charitable organizations, among them the Y.M.C.A. The cottage is basically a Dutch Colonial Revival house. In 1924 John Claflin purchased the cottage from the Porter estate.
