"In all the chaos, miracles are always happening"
~ Davene Taylor
My plans for today, my day off...I am hoping for a miracle as I try to reclaim my garden from the chaos of weeds, which I should have done quite sometime ago! And please.... PLEASE, don't let me encounter one of those GIANT spiders that I have seen out there.
This photo was taken last summer, through a spider web on a flag pole at my brother-in-law's parent's place on Schooner Head in Maine (and where I will be heading again in July...YEY!!) Of the three rocky promontories that dominate the eastern shoreline of Mount Desert Island — Schooner Head, Great Head, and Otter Cliff — Schooner head is the only one still in private hands and not part of Acadia National Park. The rocky area that you see here is Acadia National Park. The park is adjacent to this property. I can't believe that my sister's in-laws own this amazing piece of property and that I am lucky enough to be going back again...another miracle!
In sheer dumb luck, we found NPBL Sunday Extra NB90 awaiting their signal onto the NS Norfolk District over to Portlock Yard to pick up cars, and what a surprise we found, NPBL GP38-2 5260 in its beautiful commemorative scheme, and GP38-2 5261 in patched NS black and white. The lite pair of engines are seen here accepting a restricting signal at South Norfolk into Portlock Yard to grab their train.

In 1989, an estimated two million people from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania formed a continuous human chain stretching 650 km across the three Baltic countries in protest against Soviet occupation. The Stebuklas (“miracle”) tile marks one end of this colossal and awe-inspiring event.

Too common? Maybe, but it is really a great place!

Miracle has a specific spot in our livingroom when not napping with my DD. We call it the “fainting couch”. This week Clifford, tge big red dog was placed there also and Miracle had to find away to coexist with the interloper.
Yuki ( Snow White ) is a relatively new member in our family. She came to our family 2 years ago. Every time we travel, we let her stay in a pet hotel.
In August, 2013, before we went to Shanghai to have a summer vacation, we had to bring her again to the pet hotel. Our kids really didn't want her to be alone and felt very sad through all the way to the airport.
When we were on the airplane, miracle occurred. We saw this big White Snow chasing us. Looks like she is saying “Don’t leave me alone, I want to go with you.” With a big “WOW!!!!!", we all felt a little bit guilty and sadness.
Accidentally? Connection? Well, such kind of things just happen and you will never figure out why.
In honor of Mother's Day I am uploading selfies with each of my babies! This is Miracle #3, J.T. He is almost 9 months old but was only 2 months old in this photo. I love this picture because it captures his happy bubbly self so well.
Happy Mother's Day to all you hard working Mother's out there. It's not an easy job, but it sure has some amazing benefits!!

Isn't she just precious? When you meet them they are such little miracles... with their own personalities, likes and dislikes already. This little lady was so calm and serene... just like her name, "Serena".
On another note... remember Macro Mondays and Pretty Pink Tuesdays? I guess that is not still a thing? I stay away from flickr and then miss it and then come back and I start to visit my friends and find it is not the same... are we getting old? Do "younger" people like flickr as much as we did? I find the interface cumbersome and finding my friends difficult (I may have to weed out some people... but hate to do that). And how about flickr friend requests/following - whatever they are called now? Nowadays when I receive one it is from someone that has 20,000+ "friends" LOL way to make a girl feel special.
Well, enough ranting for one day. Hope you are all having a great Monday. xx

More than three kilometres long, a single-bore circular tunnel wide enough to carry four lanes of traffic side-by-side, taken underneath one of the UK's major river mouths. It would be a celebrated engineering feat if it were completed today. But the Queensway Tunnel — or the Birkenhead Tunnel, if you're a local — was excavated by hand to connect Liverpool to the Wirral, and opened in 1934.
At the time it was the biggest tunnel the world had ever seen — wider than any other, and substantially longer than most other subaqueous tunnels. It is incredible that it is not more widely recognised as one of the UK's pieces of landmark engineering, but then it sits entirely underground and as a result doesn't get much attention. It's a miracle that it exists at all, given that the government was very reluctant to provide any funding and Liverpool was the only local authority interested in building it.

As per our trip to Europe.. Every major sight seemed to be under construction! So I couldn't get the shot I wanted. But I walked around the back and got this. Such an amazing building in an amazing city!

Just quick hello here on Flickr. I won't be around much the coming week but hope to have more time soon. Happy weekend and autumn everyone!
5th August recalls the miracle of snowfall in Rome indicating where the first church in the West to be dedicated to Our Lady was built. Today is the feast of the dedication of Sta Maria Maggiore in Rome, and this relief is inside the basilica.
Mei, pumpkin and my PLF’s bring me such light, hope and proof of miracles. I’m SO thankful for all of you and to all of you. 💜

'How many sorrows
Do you try to hide
In a world of illusions
That's covering your mind?
I'll show you something good
Oh, I'll show you something good
When you open your mind
You'll discover the sign
That there's something
You're longing to find
The miracle of love
Will take away your pain
When the miracle of love
Comes your way again'

Though I have been absent from Flickr for a couple of months, I have often had all my friends and their wonderful photos on my mind. I did take the occasional trip to Flickr between my busy times this summer. The last of the visitors have left (apart from family) and the first thing I did after I waved them good-bye on the driveway was come down to the office and right onto Flickr. Thank-you to friends who wrote me notes to see I was ok. My camera is at the ready and I'm hoping to get some good shots at the spectacular colors around here. There were a few roses left on this bush.....still so dainty and tender.
I'm glad to be back....and now onto to some visiting to see your wonderful photos.
Miracle Moment in Milton, Florida. I had been railfanning all afternoon in hopes that the clearing line from a cold front would hold true and give me some nice afternoon shots. It didn't. All afternoon I had sat and watched trains pass in cloudy-drizzly weather. I wasn't expecting anything, but in Milton the clearing line met the sun, and resulted in a beautiful last gasp shot of M735 crossing the Blackwater River with a rainbow in the background no less... I had uploaded this for a second time, but it still seemed too dark. Third times a charm I guess....
WOW, stunning, possibly a miracle... The state of Hawaii (formerly known as the Sandwich Islands) has appeared on my stove... 😳 Maui, Oahu, the Big Island -- ALL there... Even Molokai and Kahoolawe. Thus, I've contacted the Vatican... I've contacted Oprah Winfrey.... The significance is unprecedented -- we've never BEEN here before... And where it goes - its ultimate meaning - no one, absolutely NO ONE, can guess. 🐳
A little play on words from the USA Hockey's Miracle On Ice in the 1980 Winter Olympics. :) Love the beautiful mosaic designs.
Freezing rain all morning and still falling. Tiny frozen drop under a leftover seed in our redbud tree. Very dim light, handheld just overhead. First time to try out my macro lens since being repaired by Canon. Very shaky with a bit of breeze, as well. Had a very hard time trying to get focus. Very shallow DOF so not much in focus.
Do listen to this beautiful Sarah McLachlan song

It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
The sky knows when its time to snow
You don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own
Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a raindrop falls
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle
Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?
Its seems so exceptional
Things just work out after all
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
The sun comes up and shines so bright
It disappears again at night
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
It’s just another ordinary miracle today
Miracle Mile is a one mile long commercial street in Tucson which featured a concentration of vintage motels. The street is now far past it's prime.

Could a greater miracle take place than for us
to look through each other's eyes for an instant?
Every moment of light and dark is a miracle
“Miracles happen to those who believe in them.”
As we become purer channels for God's light,
we develop an appetite for the sweetness that is possible in this world.
A miracle worker is not geared toward fighting the world that is,
but toward creating the world that could be.
-Marianne Williamson
