In wilderness I sense the miracle of life, and behind it our scientific accomplishments fade to trivia. ~ Charles Lindbergh

"The miracle is not to fly in the air, or to walk on the water, but to walk on the earth."

Mei, pumpkin and my PLF’s bring me such light, hope and proof of miracles. I’m SO thankful for all of you and to all of you. 💜

“Childhood is the world of miracle or of magic: it is as if creation rose luminously out of the night, all new and fresh and astonishing. Childhood is over the moment things are no longer astonishing. When the world gives you a feeling of "déjà vu," when you are used to existence, you become an adult.”

~Eugene Ionesco

A little play on words from the USA Hockey's Miracle On Ice in the 1980 Winter Olympics. :) Love the beautiful mosaic designs.

Freezing rain all morning and still falling. Tiny frozen drop under a leftover seed in our redbud tree. Very dim light, handheld just overhead. First time to try out my macro lens since being repaired by Canon. Very shaky with a bit of breeze, as well. Had a very hard time trying to get focus. Very shallow DOF so not much in focus.

Miracle Moment in Milton, Florida. I had been railfanning all afternoon in hopes that the clearing line from a cold front would hold true and give me some nice afternoon shots. It didn't. All afternoon I had sat and watched trains pass in cloudy-drizzly weather. I wasn't expecting anything, but in Milton the clearing line met the sun, and resulted in a beautiful last gasp shot of M735 crossing the Blackwater River with a rainbow in the background no less... I had uploaded this for a second time, but it still seemed too dark. Third times a charm I guess....

Victory backing out. Miracle followed soon after.

Here we have something I think of as an autumn miracle, the late October product of a normally scraggly little apple tree.

I don't know what's drawn me to this pitiful tree, but there you have it. Last summer no one would show any interest much less lay claim to it. I gathered a few apples from the ground and picked a few more from low branches. From these I made apple sauce, not the best apple sauce I've ever made, but apple sauce nevertheless.

Apple trees don't blossom in October. This one did. And now --this month (November) -- I have found four or five more pretty little blossoms. Strange autumn indeed.

Once again, I thank you for your visit. I hope you're out there finding miracles

PS a nearby fig tree produced figs, too. I should have tasted one, but I didn't.

Could a greater miracle take place than for us

to look through each other's eyes for an instant?

Every moment of light and dark is a miracle

“Miracles happen to those who believe in them.”

As we become purer channels for God's light,

we develop an appetite for the sweetness that is possible in this world.

A miracle worker is not geared toward fighting the world that is,

but toward creating the world that could be.

-Marianne Williamson

Do listen to this beautiful Sarah McLachlan song

www.imeem.com/tonlang/music/h0YIwJ7A/sarah_mclachlan_ordi...

It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow

You don’t need to teach a seed to grow

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say

Wrapped up for you everyday

Open up and find a way

To give some of your own

Isn’t it remarkable?

Like every time a raindrop falls

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Birds in winter have their fling

And always make it home by spring

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday

Please don’t throw your dreams away

Hold them close to your heart

Cause we are all a part

Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle

Do you want to see a miracle?

Its seems so exceptional

Things just work out after all

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sun comes up and shines so bright

It disappears again at night

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

It’s the oldest story in the world; one day your 17 and planning for someday and then quietly and without you ever really noticing someday is today. and then someday is yesterday. and this is your life.

We spend so much time wanting, pursuing, wishing-- but ambition is good, chasing things with integrity is good, dreaming. If you had a friend you knew you’d never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don’t wait… nothing lasts forever.

Make a wish and place it in your heart; anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracles gonna to come from, the next memory, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it’s right around the corner, you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it-- you just might get the thing you’re wishing for. The world is full of magic; you just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good, now believe in it... with all your heart.

I know I already used this quote with the last photo I uploaded but I really hated this photo so it's not on my stream anymore. And I wanted to use the quote with a photo I actually like :)

This photo was taken here. I always wanted to take photos there and I finally did it. Maybe you'll see one more photo of this shoot :)

I finally plucked up enough courage to take a train into Liverpool and meet my miracle-man mate, Ian Hughes. We've not laid eyes on each other for three years.

Talking of courage, who can hold a candle to Ian, though?

He fought & beat Covid and he fought & beat Sepsis (twice) - all while worrying & waiting for a suitable organ donor for his essential transplant.

To say today was a great day would definitely be an understatement.

Every time I redress this girl, I try to do something with her hair, but Sekiguchi used such garbage hair on her, it's impossible to style. It's like cheap toy hair, really bad. I love the color though, & I wish I could find some nice saran hair in that color so I could reroot her.

We must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind us to the fact that each moment of life is a miracle and mystery.

H. G. Wells

English author, historian, & utopian (1866 - 1946)

As for me, I know nothing else but miracles,

Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,

Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,

Or wade with naked feet along the beach just in the edge of the water,

Or stand under the trees in the woods,

Or talk by day with any one I love,

Or sleep in bed at night with any one I love,

Or watch honey bees busy around the hive of a summer forenoon...

Or the wonderfulness of the sundown,

Or of stars shining so quiet and bright,

Or the exquisite delicate thin curve of the new moon in spring...

What stranger miracles are there?

This was taken a bit after sunrise (the sun was hiding behind the clouds for a while) at Virginia Beach, VA. Straight outta the camera...I'm a fan of the sunset option on the Olympus.

The fortune telling miracle fish is surprisingly accurate in some circumstances.

Thanks to my lovely enemy patchworkbunny for the fish. Posting a photo of it was a requirement of receiving it.

When used on myself the fish reports that I'm a stormtrooper and occasionally in love. I think that's fair.

The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.

Hauser & Wirth presents the latest body of work by Hungarian born, New York-based artist Rita Ackermann: a suite of new paintings in which figures and motifs rise to the surface of canvases, only to dissolve and reappear elsewhere again.

WOW, stunning, possibly a miracle... The state of Hawaii (formerly known as the Sandwich Islands) has appeared on my stove... 😳 Maui, Oahu, the Big Island -- ALL there... Even Molokai and Kahoolawe. Thus, I've contacted the Vatican... I've contacted Oprah Winfrey.... The significance is unprecedented -- we've never BEEN here before... And where it goes - its ultimate meaning - no one, absolutely NO ONE, can guess. 🐳

In honor of Mother's Day I am uploading selfies with each of my babies! This is Miracle #2, Jacob. He is almost 7 and one of the sweetest, caring, lovable boys I have ever met. He always thinks of his loved one before himself, even looking out for his older sister. He is smart, funny & an absolute joy to my life!!

Happy Mother's Day to all you hard working Mother's out there. It's not an easy job, but it sure has some amazing benefits!!

Miracle has a specific spot in our livingroom when not napping with my DD. We call it the “fainting couch”. This week Clifford, tge big red dog was placed there also and Miracle had to find away to coexist with the interloper.

Miracle Mile Shops is a 475,000 square foot, 1.2-mile long, enclosed shopping mall on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is home to more than 170 stores, 15 restaurants and live entertainment venues.

I was strolling with my camera on the streets of Me'ah-She'arim, the Ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Jerusalem. About a hundred meters in front of me, I saw a group of kids getting off their transportation, and proceeding to their kindergarten. I thought I missed them, and turned to a street nearby. Then, suddenly, they started showing up, running happily to their 'institute'.

I said to myself, as often Hassidim say: 'Miracles Happen. Believe!', and started taking photos very quickly.

I pulled up the driveway of one of my favorite houses for bird photography. I didn't even get out of my vehicle yet, when I spotted this northern mockingbird, about 12 feet away. I didn't have my camera ready. No card in the camera, the wrong lens on the camera and just plain not ready. I wasn't expecting anything so fast. So as I pull it all together, I'm sorta watching him, as he watches me back. But he doesn't move... at all.

OK... now I'm ready, but at the wrong angle in the car. He's dead on, through the windshield. Thinking he's going to fly away any second, I lean out the window and shoot on an angle with my 300mm lens. Awkward! I shoot a few rounds, Then decide to back up and angle the car over to the right for a better angle... and still he doesn't move. Now you people out there... that photograph birds...you know that you have maybe 3-5 seconds if you're lucky before the bird is gone. Not this bird. Do you know how long he stayed in this spot as I shot a zillion pictures of him? FORTY SEVEN MINUTES IN THIS SPOT! That is unheard of, for a little bird to be that still for that long, with a big long lens pointed at him. I was astonished. I changed lenses, cameras, backgrounds by changing position, while still seated in the driver's seat. It was definitely a small miracle to me.
