I was driving out of Kananaskis country (lots of trees) when I noticed that cloud. As I left the forest, and entered the rolling hills, that cloud grew bigger and bigger. I snapped a few pictures and then embraced myself as I drove back home, hidden somewhere in that mess. Needless to say, this was amazing to witness and an honour to capture.
I've learned that it doesn't matter how big your house is, apparently, it is not big enough. ^_^

They were laughing so hard...all because I was laying on the ground to get this shot... apparently...in doggy poo! (all of which they knew, but didn't tell me until much later!) Glad I could make their day a little happier!

Barn Owls are active throughout the day, and not just in the middle or late afternoons and not just in the winter months or in times of bad weather. The large numbers of Barn Owl photographs that are now posted on various web-sites support this.
They rely mostly on sound to locate prey. As a matter of fact, they have the most sensitive hearing of any animal ever tested. They fly low (up to about 3 meters) and slowly, back and forth across suitable habitat until they hear a small mammal below. Before pouncing, they will often hover, waiting for the perfect moment, although sometimes a Barn Owl will fly along and then suddenly drop straight into the grass.

It is interesting to me how difficult times help us to evaluate priorities, bringing into focus things that matter most.
At a protestation on the front lawn of the Parliament Building in Ottawa Ontario Canada for the treatment and murders of countless indigenous children in the residencial school system run by the catholic church... What a shame... Its beyong words what the church did. no amount of apologies or money will repair what they did. All religions are scams for money and power. How many more has to die and suffer in the name of a god...
