But, Christmas can have all things, both good and bad, mixed in; it is not exempt from the rest of the days of the year.
The loss of a dear pet, our church cat, Karson, on December 23rd, a day before Christmas Eve, was quite sad, still today and for some time to come for sure. Then Christmas Night was yet another challenge: I may share it later with you.
It all depends on how we look at the situation. I try always to keep positive, although sometimes it's not so easy.
I look at Maggie looking out the window, alone, with no Christmas tree, somewhat a little sad, watching for Karson to come home, or is she just looking at the birds feeding at the feeder. Bat looking at me, thinking? Me thinking? We all have a different view from where we stand or sit.

What a shame... Its beyong words what the church did. no amount of apologies or money will repair what they did. All religions are scams for money and power. How many more has to die and suffer in the name of a god...

Questo è solamente un piccolo particolare e sì, lo so.... è storta. Ma il paralume non era proprio allineato con il quadro, così ho inclinato il tutto e voilà, non si nota e la luce è bellissima! O forse era per colpa dello spritz che avevo appena appena bevuto?

This is just a small detail, and yes, I know .... is crooked. But the lampshade was not exactly aligned with the picture, so I tilted the whole thing and voilà, you do not notice and the light is beautiful! Or maybe it was because I was sipping a spritz?

Some consider the circle a magical symbol. The perfect circle has no beginning and no end. You could say it unifies spirit and matter. The circle is a symbol of equality. I'm not making a claim with the title of this photograph; it's entirely a matter of expressing my admiration for the Fauvism movement, which emphasized intense colour over realism.
The edits done in LIghtroom relate mostly to contrast and saturation, but there is also the matter of applying a filter. However, the most fundamental contributor to the brushstroke background is the Meyer Optik lens which is maddeningly difficult to focus (at least at f2..8) yet contributes lovely "paint brush" textures to the background.
I always wanted to make smth sensless like this.

La vita non è in ordine alfabetico come credete voi. Appare... un po' qua e un po' là, come meglio crede, sono briciole, il problema è raccoglierle dopo, è un mucchietto di sabbia, e qual è il granello che sostiene l'altro? A volte quello che sta sul cocuzzolo e sembra sorretto da tutto il mucchietto, è proprio lui che tiene insieme tutti gli altri, perché quel mucchietto non ubbidisce alle leggi della fisica, togli il granello che credevi non sorreggesse niente e crolla tutto, la sabbia scivola, si appiattisce e non ti resta altro che farci ghirigori col dito, degli andirivieni, sentieri che non portano da nessuna parte, e dai e dai, stai lì a tracciare andirivieni, ma dove sarà quel benedetto granello che teneva tutto insieme... e poi un giorno il dito si ferma da sé, non ce la fa più a fare ghirigori, sulla sabbia c'è un tracciato strano, un disegno senza logica e senza costrutto, e ti viene un sospetto, che il senso di tutta quella roba lì erano i ghirigori.
