Le monsieur au premier plan est passé soudainement dans le champ, mais au bon moment pour faire une photo insolite...
Je ne saurai jamais ce qu'aurait été ma photo sans lui (ca semblait prometteur 😊) mais celle-ci est aussi intéressante...

food is a dangerous subject matter because it tends to disappear as you're working with it . My initial plans was to photograph some Danish from my favorite bakery Crispelli's in Royal Oak. However bread and butter is the king, as a carbohydrate junkie anything from pastries to bread and confections etc. is something that I eat all too often. This is epi bread with a little butter on it.
Epi bread is a type of artisan bread which is often made at French-style bakeries. The bread is a popular picnicking bread, since it consists of a series of yeast rolls which are interconnected to look like a stalk of wheat.
At a protestation on the front lawn of the Parliament Building in Ottawa Ontario Canada for the treatment and murders of countless indigenous children in the residencial school system run by the catholic church... What a shame... Its beyong words what the church did. no amount of apologies or money will repair what they did. All religions are scams for money and power. How many more has to die and suffer in the name of a god...

So, I was under the Golden Gate bridge (supposed to be the most photographed man-made structure) while on the Bay cruise and I wanted to capture it in this perspective. BUUUUUUUUT, you can only get this much for the 18-55!!!
I wanted the end part which you can see has been mercilessly chopped no matter how hard I tried. But, I tried. So here it is!
Sunrise is such a fleeting time of the day, the passage of the sun from below to above the horizon happens in a matter of moments. Trying to capture this can often leave little room for error, or mostly in my case a mad rush of multiple shoots in hope of getting something I will ultimately be happy with.
This morning was no different, I at least knew where, when the sun would be rising, and was ready. It didn't stop me taking more pictures than I should need! This is from one of my several HDR attempts during the course of a rushed 5-10 minutes, unlike all my others this one doesn't have as much of the typical HDR look that many people find offensive, enjoy.

… one month yes, and one no, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina sends me on a three-day mission (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Sant'Anna…In my spare time, free from work commitments, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs that I present here were all taken in the months of this year 2023; I made various photos according to the dictates of street photography (or street photography), I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand, very willing to let themselves be photographed (perhaps it will be ... that the people of the island are open-minded, eager and used to to communicate with strangers..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work; all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except for two taken in the port of Milazzo, the departure and arrival point of the hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands. I met (and photographed) the sweet lady, very good and appreciated American artist, Mrs Janette Little (photographed together with her affable and very nice husband, of Aeolian origins); of the talented artist mrs Janette in addition to her portrait I propose two of her works, I had noticed them some time ago, I had wanted to bring some photos of these works with me, now I propose them in black and white because this is a monochrome series, I note however that the originals are in color, for those wishing to see his works, I add the link to his web site below.

….un mese si, ed uno no, la mia Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale di Messina, mi manda in missione per tre giorni (da Taormina) all’Ospedale Civile di Lipari, situato in via Sant’Anna …Nei ritagli di tempo, libero dagli impegni di lavoro, mi dedico alla mia passione fotografica; le fotografie che qui presento sono state tutte realizzate nei mesi di quest’anno 2023; ho realizzato varie foto secondo i dettami della fotografia di strada (o street photography), ho realizzato alcuni ritratti, avendo incontrato sempre persone alla mano, molto disponibili nel lasciarsi fotografare (sarà forse…che la gente isolana è di mentalità aperta, desiderosa ed abituata a comunicare con gli estranei..?!), alcuni ritratti sono stati eseguiti a persone intente nei loro lavori; tutte le foto sono state realizzate nella città di Lipari, tranne due realizzate nel porto di Milazzo, scalo di partenza e di arrivo degli aliscafi (ma c’è anche la nave) per le isole Eolie. Ho conosciuto (e fotografato) la dolcissima signora, bravissima ed apprezzata artista, di origini americane mrs Janette Little (fotografata insieme al suo affabile e simpaticissimo marito, di origini eoliane); della bravissima artista mrs Janette oltre al suo ritratto propongo due sue lavori, li avevo notati tempo fa, avevo desiderato portare con me alcune foto di queste opere, adesso le propongo in bianco e nero perché questa è una serie in monocromia, faccio notare però che gli originali sono a colori, per chi desiderasse vedere i suoi lavori, aggiungo sotto il link al suo sito sul web.

What Does Black Lives Matter Mean?
Black Lives Matter is an anthem, a slogan, a hashtag, and a straightforward statement of fact. While it is not a new movement, the message is central to the nationwide protests happening right now. BLM speaks out against the police brutality and systemic racism that caused the recent deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade and Breonna Taylor, as well as the thousands of violent incidents that happen to Black people that aren’t recorded, aren’t reported or aren’t afforded the outrage they deserve. At its most basic level, it calls for a shift in the statistics that Black people are twice as likely to be killed by a police officer while unarmed, compared to a white individual. According to a 2015 study, African Americans died at the hands of police at a rate of 7.2 per million, while whites were killed at a rate of 2.9 per million.

Today is the sesquicentennial of the signing of The Metre Convention by seventeen nations.
A metre matters. That little sentence is a handy reminder to not run down cyclists. Sadly, it originated from the death of Amy Gillett in a training accident. As part of the Australian women's cycling team, training for the Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen, she died as a consequence of a vehicle crashing into the training squad.
For the rest of us, metrication have been of lesser consequence — it's not life and death. Of those seventeen original signatories, only one has not implemented the system of weights and measures that are the most visible elements of the convention.
Unremarkably, today is also World Metrology Day. This rushed snapshot of one of my handy measuring tools is a placeholder to celebrate the importance of measurement in our modern world.
