This is a picture of the escalators at the Canary Wharf underground station, which is part of the Jubilee line extension that was built in the 1990s and which was the last major underground rail project in London prior to the new Elizabeth line opening up in June 2022.
Both the Jubilee line extension and the Elizabeth line have been welcome additions to the rail transport system here in London. There is however one big difference between the two of them and that is the design of the stations. I was very much looking forward to the opening of the Elizabeth line, as I hoped they would provide as much innovative design as that which was shown in the Jubilee line extension stations.
The Jubilee line stations have provided unique and iconic photographic opportunities for photographers coming to visit London from all over the world. Here you have a shot of the amazing Canary Wharf escalators but also there are equally compelling photographic opportunities at Jubilee line stations at Southwark, Waterloo, and Westminster stations. All of them have unique elements to them that make them worthwhile to visit. The same can't be said for the Elizabeth line stations which from the ones I've visited are all of a uniform design consisting mostly of white tunnels. I know there are touches here and there which will make for a decent shot and I've got a few that I will post but honestly, how I wish they had let a few really visionary architects loose on at least a few of those new Elizabeth line stations.

Another evening on the beach, a few degrees colder with a brisker wind meant the main beach at Southerndown was virtually empty. It was just a matter of time till people drifted off and clouds drifted in. There were two distinct layers of clouds, the upper long trailing ribbons of cloud giving movement, and the lower ones zooming under. Matter of time by The Low Anthem is perfect, a few minutes can make such a difference.
In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you

It's minus 8 and the rocks are slippery with ice, my hands are freezing but it doesn't matter, 'cos I'm very excited by the lighting and the wonderful view !
Walking in fog often provides a visual representation of my thought process. My brain constantly brings different topics into view, but in the process lets others slide into the periphery. Most of the time they are all still there, competing for my attention, but all in varying degrees. In fog I respond to the overall loss of clarity, but also the nuance that is created by relative distance. It's this layering effect I find most appealing as more distant objects eventually recede into nothingness...exactly the same as my mind reacts.
Walking outdoors this morning felt otherworldly. I love seeing familiar places rendered as ones I'm visiting for the very first time. A rich dichotomy as the serenity of fog is ripped apart by this visceral reaction. In these moments I invariably come up with camera angles that never would have occurred to me in normal circumstances.

Chaos embodied in a young Redbud Tree, Cercis canadensis, planted between the road and the old woodland in Cullinan Park, Sugar Land, Texas. Reminded me of the stringy distribution of Dark Matter on a cosmic scale, and of Vincent van Gogh’s “Flowering Plum Tree” (after Hiroshige, 1887), and especially “Almond Blossom” (1890), painted just before his death. Saw an exhibit of his work at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam some decades ago, which was interspersed with work by his contemporaries, treating similar subjects in not too dissimilar styles. On every wall, the merest glance would suffice to identify van Gogh, which invariably jumped out of the crowd to grab my attention.

"Luanes World - Live the Dream", is the newest addition to the Luanes World sims. But as a difference to "Luanes World" @Slice of Heaven and "Luanes Magical World" @ Morning Glow, who are public sims, "Luanes World - Live the Dream" @ Tabara is a residential sim.
The rentals consist of 7 different houses, all with water view.
The rest of the sim is free for all to use, and enjoy.
Note this sim is moderate, so keep everything naughty inside of your house:)
Please respect the privacy of the other tenants - do not contact anybody else, when they are in the privacy of their own home. If you meet them in the public areas, you can of course say hi :)
Price:
Each rental, no matter which house you choose, is 799/week, with a 2 week minimum pay the first time.
After the first payment you can pay between 1-4 weeks at a time.
Prims:
You get 250 prims to decorate the house, and the nearest surrounding with. Please keep within the prim limit, as we all have to share the prims available.
If you need additional prims, you can buy extra prims - in units of 25 prims for 75 linden/week. Write me a notecard if you want your prim limit changed.
Privacy:
Each rental has it's own security orb, and the parcel setting is set to private, so you will be invisible to people from outside the parcel.
You can add people to the security orb, once I have set it up for you.
Music and parcel name and description:
If you want the parcel to have a specific name and/or description, write it in a notecard, and I will add that for you.
Also if you would like a specific music stream, you can put that in a notecard as well, and I will change that for you.
Luanes Residential World Group:
"Luanes World - Live the Dream" @ Tabara has its own group where only tenants will be able to join (as well as subtenants). Only members of this group will be able to rezz on the sim, but the public parts are open for everybody.
Upon renting a house, send me a notecard, and I will invite you to the group, so you can start decorating your new home. Any subtenants you need adding, you put in the notecard as well. Note that this is only needed, if they need to be able to rezz as well.

Stars and clouds above the Grand Canyon ... if you look in the dark abyss there you will see some short light trails in the 30 second exposure, and these are from hikers on the south rim there either hiking down or back up in the Canyon.
but the closest scrutiny of the photogenic drawing discloses only a more absolute truth, a more perfect identity of aspect with the thing represented :-)

One of our local beach gang, hanging out on the rocks.
This beauty stood out from the gang due to it's darker colouring and extended black patches particularly over the upper wings. Hooded Crow hybrids. When there is less grey than normal as with this bird then it is not a pure Hooded Crow. They intergrade fairly commonly with Carrion Crows,
