Who is this man, and why does this place matter to him? This is my dad and the place that matters most to him is our farm. The reason it matters so much to him is that he grew up on a farm and is now living out his childhood dream of being a farmer, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. For as long as I can remember, my father has enjoyed working on the farm. He has shared this love of farming with my sisters and me. Over the years we spent time picking up rocks in the fields during the spring and riding in the combine with him during fall harvest. We learned about hard work and the feeling of satisfaction that comes from a job well done. I carry the values I learned on the farm with me on a daily basis. This is a place that really matters, not only to my dad but to my entire family.
