I read once that the Lewis and Clark expedition ate so much salmon while in the Pacific Northwest that they got sick of it, and so resorted to buying up all the Natives' dogs for food. When we were in Alaska every creek, river, inlet and cove was teeming with salmon, easy for the picking. Every carnivore and omnivore was of course eating them, and the thought occured to me, could they get sick of salmon, too? This eagle, along the salmon-strewn shores of Prince William Sound, answered my question. Bald Eagle, Prince William Sound, Alaska.
