DIGITAL ONLY. Knudt Elias Mason, son of Hactor and Anna Olsdatter (Helleland) Mason, was born in July 1871 in Iowa and died 2 Jul 1938. On 23 Dec 1893, in Des Moines, Iowa, he married Rachel Marie “Mary” Thompson, daughter of Thomas N. and Rachel Thompson. She was born 13 Apr 1876 in Iowa. They had four children: Alma Ruth (1897-1956), Edith Marie (1901-1986), Chester Arthur (1903-1932) and Kermit Alton (1906-1993). Alma Ruth Mason, daughter of Knudt Elias and Rachel Marie “Mary” (Thompson) Mason, was born 8 Jan 1897 in Iowa and died in 1956 in Story City, Iowa. She married John Edward “Johnny” Erickson (1887-1957). They are buried in Story City Cemetery, Story City, Iowa. They had two sons: Kenneth Eugene Sr. (1920-1999) and Benjamin W. Photographer is H. The Mason High School Marching Band takes the field Saturday, Nov. 12 at the Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Ohio. Ninety-two bands performed in the national competition. Mason was one of 12 bands selected to compete in the Grand National finals. They finished in 10th place overall. Provided photo
