The Thomas's were over for a few days last week and I was able to spend quality time with them. It was awesome!
Mason bees emerge from their nests in the spring. These solitary bees lay an egg in the whole and then block it up with clay where it grows until the following spring. Excellent native pollinators! This is the first time I've been able to get pictures of them emerging.
Mason has been pulling himself up on his knees lately. He was doing this at the gate yesterday, I walk into their room to put an item away, come back not 15 seconds later, and the little bugger was standing!!! He can hardly sit on his own, and he is STANDING!!! It has taken him 9 months and 5 days.

Mason Rabinowitz is a member of The Grove. (The co-working space I go to in New Haven.) Mason was kind enough to pen an essay for my book, Through The Elm to The Big Apple.
