I am flattered and overwhelmed to be one of 5 photographers whose image was selected by international pianist/artist Lang Langand SonyMusic to commemorate the release of the Chopin Album. Please give his latest album your full attention. My deepest gratitude to Lang Langfor his contributions to the world, and to SonyMusic for their support. Please visit the link below.-GJC
First attempts with color film in the Mamiya. I'm blown away by this camera and what it can capture. This shot was taken about 10 minutes later than the same scene below from the Canon 50D.
Adjusted the slider to lighten the sky a bit and reduced the vignetting.

I'm realizing how brutally sharp the 140 Macro lens is. View the large version of this fairly low res scan.
I think the beauty dish is harsh, but that's what Alex Waterhouse-Hayward blog.alexwaterhousehayward.com/ wanted to use for his photos. Not surprisingly, his photos are a lot better than mine.

Just a quick low-res scan of our Christmas card year. I used TinyPrints and was quite impressed with the quality of card and speed of the delivery. The cardsock is so thick and nice to the touch. I also ordered label addresses and metallic envelopes--all really high quality. This is a 5 x 5 folded card. I'm going to use them again next year for sure! I wish I had a better scanner to show off the final product ;) Still no computer for me...maybe next week.
I want to wish each and every one of my Flickr friends a very merry and joyful Christmas.. and a happy and healthy 2011! Thanks for being such wonderful friends. Your comments always brighten my day :) XX

Group photograph at the wedding of Ettie Ordish to Tom Carr. My paternal grandmother Alice Louie Mason (nee Ordish) is one of the bridesmaids. Lily and Carrie were the daughters of Jesse Ainsbury's first marriage; Ernest the son of his second marriage to Charlotte. Jesse Ainsbury is the brother of Lydia Ainsbury, wife of WIlliam Norris Ordish. William and Lydia are the parents of Albert, Alice, Fanny, Willie junior, Fred (who emigrated to Canada). I'm not sure where Charlie and Billie fit it.
A little tight on the composition. I should've backed up a little. Well it's film. Rolleicord Va on Konica 400 Pro scanned with an Epson V750. Low Res Scan.
Restored from a low-res scan I had done of a 3x5” color print. Not bad, considering.

We had the pleasure of a visit to Burma in 2001. It was an oppressed country then and our guide would not speak in public about the country. In private he politely condemned the military government.

Low res scan. Nova 125 BW Film. Nikon F90S + Nikkor 135 F2. The scan does not do justice to the film, and the film does not do justice to the lens!!!! Lol. There is also a problem with developers here in Hyderabad, India. Every highlight was blown; the scanning was also done by the studio. Hmm. But, the film does create a soft look. I looked at the negative under a magnifier, and I think it is far better than what the scan shows. The large size shows how bad that film's resolution is; and also how bad the scan is. Need to do this with better film. And folks at HPC.... let us get a move on that developing center.
