Another not too brilliant photo, a too low res. scan of a poor negative taken in my first year of faltering bus photography, 1975.

On a day trip to York with the church Youth Group, three of us broke away in search of the legendary York Pullman bus company. From memory our trio was, 'berresfordsmotors', myself and our mutual friend Barry. Barry wasn't a die hard enthusiast, but had a passing interest. After securing permission to enter the garage, our chum pressed the bell on one of the dormant buses, this brought out a particularly fierce member of staff from the garage office, and we were ejected forthwith! In this shot, gained by the skin of my teeth, one of the company's beautifully presented Roe bodied AEC Regent V's, 9677 DN is seen. Sadly colour photography, which would have done more justice to it, was unaffordable for a schoolboy with a part time milk round.

We had the pleasure of a visit to Burma in 2001. It was an oppressed country then and our guide would not speak in public about the country. In private he politely condemned the military government.

These are monks at Mahagandhayon Monastic Institution, Amarapura.

Low res scan of a 6X4 print.

Low res scan. Nova 125 BW Film. Nikon F90S + Nikkor 135 F2. The scan does not do justice to the film, and the film does not do justice to the lens!!!! Lol. There is also a problem with developers here in Hyderabad, India. Every highlight was blown; the scanning was also done by the studio. Hmm. But, the film does create a soft look. I looked at the negative under a magnifier, and I think it is far better than what the scan shows. The large size shows how bad that film's resolution is; and also how bad the scan is. Need to do this with better film. And folks at HPC.... let us get a move on that developing center.

Set up in bathroom, using one of those Christmas yard display laser things (which I moved during the exposure to get the streaking effect), 10 second self timer, had difficulty focusing, turned out ok, but I apologize for the low res scan

This time both knights got more aggressive and scored better hits on each other. I may not have quite captured the impact of the lances against the shields or armor. Being this far away didn't help. Next time I go to the Renaissance Faire I intend to bring a DSLR with me, and not this SLR.

I shot this photo with a Pentax K1000, with an 80-200mm lens, photographing it on Kodak Gold, rated at ASA 200. The photo's less-than-stellar quality is due to my choosing a low-res scan, instead of going with something that would have been more expensive but would have yielded a better picture quality all around.
