After coming back a short getaway trip to Chilliwack, I met with my friends for dinner. Afterward, I took my gears and went to my friend's apartment in Kitslano.
I came to his house many times so I know that his place gets a great view of west side Vancouver. Most of the time, I didn't bring my camera gear but this time I didn't make the same mistake. As soon as I stepped out his patio, the sun was about to set and the sky became so pretty that I immediately set up my camera and tripod. After several of shots, I find that putting on a GND filter yields a better result :)
I am very happy that I got the new H&Y Filter system in Hong Kong. I just need one filter system for all the lenses I owned :)

Happy Labor Day

I'm home very early today so I decided to head down to our neighborhood park to shoot some droplets. Sadly, I cannot find any flowers. Just twigs and lots of leaves.

My daughter has a lovely walkway full of hostas and lilies. Like Mike, she has a green thumb.

One of tWO shots taken from the 34th floor of our condo building today, in Toronto
It was freezing cold, wind chills of minus 39 C. There was a fog or mist rising from Lake Ontario, so beautiful to see!
Thanks, enjoy your weekend, a long one in Ontario as we celebrate Family Day on Monday:)

J549 was withdrawn by the Victorian Railways on 30 November 1970. It entered service on 8 October 1954 and withdrawn from traffic on 25 April 1972. However it remained in storage until being written off on 24 September 1979 having accumulated a total mileage of over 270,000kms.
J549 was sold to the Castlemaine & Maldon Preservation Society for preservation in 1979. It was stored at Ararat until transferred to Castlemaine in 1984 and subsequently restored to operation in 1991.
Here J549 glides away from Castlemaine bound for Maldon over the Easter Longweekend on 26th March 2016. There are multiple historic bridges and landmarks around this area which are worth a viewing.
Reminiscing Prague-Dresden trip from beginning of May. I tend to go back to the pictures I've made in the past, just to discover something I didn't appreciate back then. It feels good.
