This is one of the very few digital frames I shot over the long weekend. I put three rolls through the Holga and several more through the Horizon. It'll be a couple weeks before I have them processed, but I'm looking forward to the results. It's more film than I've shot in quite a while.

It looks a little grainy when viewed large on the interweb, but I don't have time right now to figure out why I'm having problems with color AND grain when uploading. Flickr, why are you failing me now? I swear I'm going to extend my pro membership. I just haven't gotten around to it...

Fixing the color killed my EXIF. Here it is, for those who care:

My long weekend will be a busy one, it actually started last night with a get-together with friends / Flickr friends which was a lot of fun as expected, dinner with sister in law tonight, an event to go to with friends / Flickr friends on Saturday afternoon, go out of town with in laws and hubby on Sunday and be back on Tuesday morning.

Another thing, a message was waiting for me when I got home last night - my application to be a mentor for underprivileged kids has been accepted so I will be doing lots of volunteer work for the comings days. I will be away for a while in Flickr and very excited to give back. I think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege. Have a good one y’all, see you when I return :)

It turned out to be a lovely day for

the family day holiday. It was - 8 degrees C with an icy wind chill coming out of the north, but with the sun out, it was simply a gorgeous winter day. Better yet....the fishing was free.

We had four days off with the Royal Wedding and Bank holiday - one was definitely spent on trains traveling from one place to another :)

The long weekend begins today and I have a full schedule of things to do.

May you all have fun and be safe.

See you soon.

The Dog on the Tuckerbox is an Australian historical monument and tourist attraction, located at Snake Gully, approximately five miles (eight kilometres) from Gundagai, New South Wales as described in the song of the same name.

The Dog on the Tuckerbox monument was erected in 1932 as part of 'Back to Gundagai' week, and a large crowd "gathered to her again" to witness the unveiling by Prime Minister Joseph Lyons on 28 November 1932. It was planned to donate money placed in the wishing well at the base of the monument to the Gundagai District Hospital. A souvenir shop was also opened nearby. Copyright on the monument was vested in the Gundagai Hospital, who for many years received a useful income from receipt of royalties from firms using the iconic image.

The statue was vandalised on 28 July 2019 by being dislodged from its plinth, suffering minor damage, and had its grand re-unveiling on 17 August 2019 following repairs.

As I unfurled my paper and sipped my Starbucks iced tea lemonade at Richmond + Spadina, I heard the sound of sirens: Ree-rooo, ree-roo! Urban douchebag alert! Urban douchebag alert!

Holy crap. Methinks it's time to visit my parents soon and pop this bubble, at least temporarily... After all, deep down inside there must be a small part of me that doesn't mind being a douchebag.

Went out this morning with Colin and Pete hoping to catch the fog. Got some light fog but the added bonus was the beautiful light from the sunrise, Didn't have to use filters as I think the fog acted as a filter. Olga

Happy Victoria Day Weekend!

Wind is blowing smoke from the wildfires in Alberta to affect us in Ontario and other places. Title change suggested by my contact, Carol Berney.

Meet Pippin. He belongs to our youngest granddaughter. We spent the long weekend at our daughter's home in Barhaven (Nepean) as she has a list of things she needed her dad to help with around the house and yard. I brought my camera :)

Victoria Day long weekend with friends by the bonfire...

Back Story to this photo. I was walking in a recreational park just after sunrise after a long three day weekend. The area is used for BBQ and party events. This apparent "gift" must have been unwanted by the receiver and left abandoned outside the public bathrooms. I'm sure there are tons of whitty titles for this image just waiting to be shared in the comments....please have at it. ;-) Wayne

We have been so busy lately, so it has been hard to shoot new material, sorry guys.

Positive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I have seen so many snaps of fog, but this is the 1st time, I witnessed it in person.

It was such a divine feel seeing that thin layer of fog linger around the valley floor until the sun hit them. It was a wonderful day in Yosemite!

For high quality print:

when you look at this image, do you feel safe and protected, or do you feel empathy for the wounded? or do you feel both?

My daughter has a lovely walkway full of hostas and lilies. Like Mike, she has a green thumb.

One of the nice things about shooting in Venice is that you don't have to spend much time straightening your photo. Basically, no matter what there will always be some part of the photo that's not quite square. It's charming once you accept it.

Speaking of threes, happy three-day weekend to everyone in the United States (who doesn't have to work).
