Don't you hate it when you're taking a sunset photo and someone runs into your shot brandishing a stick? Turns out I don't. My son was having the best time running in and out of the waves at Broadband today, and I think he made this photo a lot better.
I will be away for the long weekend and will try to see you when I have time.
Enjoy the long weekend if you are in Canada and a regular weekend in all other places.
Time to relax after a long day with our family. The one in the middle must be really tired! *-*

We had fun watching this family enjoying the beautiful sunny weather during our visit at Humber Arboretum [Etobicoke] on our Victoria Day long weekend. It was great to visit and see my old neighbourhood as well.

Gundagai is a town in New South Wales, Australia. Although a small town, Gundagai is a popular topic for writers and has become a representative icon of a typical Australian country town
We have been away for a long weekend - our first stay in Gundagai.
The Aug long weekend is now over and it is time to get back to work for everyone in one way or another.
A great time was had with friends, lots of laughs and memories shared with warm 'kinda' sunny days.

Last weekend we enjoyed a four day stay in Alassio on the Italian Riviera. It's about a three hour drive from where we live so relatively close and easy to get to. It was our second visit there this year; we stayed for a weekend in May for the first time and found the place incredibly charming and the hotel was excellent so we decided a second visit was in order. It's the end of the summer season in a week or so in Alassio which meant it was even more quiet than usual and the weather was nice and warm. We were walking along the 'boardwalk' when I took this photo which shows the private beach of the grandest hotel in Alassio - the eponymous 'Grand Hotel'. The brown angular things are the roofs of two changing rooms (there was a row of about six of them)

Victoria Day in 2026 is Monday, May 18, bringing a long weekend that runs from May 16 through May 18. It is a federal and provincial statutory holiday in British Columbia
The Prince Alfred Bridge is a wrought iron truss and timber beam partially-disused road bridge over the Murrumbidgee River and its floodplain at Middleton Drive, Gundagai, Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council, New South Wales, Australia. The heritage-listed road bridge was designed by William Christopher Bennett and built from 1864 to 1867 by Francis Bell. It is also known as Prince Alfred Bridge - Iron Road Bridge and Iron Bridge over Murrumbidgee River at Gundagai. The iron bridge is owned by Transport for NSW and the timber viaduct is owned by Crown Lands. The bridge was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 5 July 2019 and on the (now defunct) Register of the National Estate on 21 March 1978.
The bridge is now being dismantled sadly even though it has been heritage listed.
Famed in verse, song and popular imagination, Gundagai today bids farewell to its iconic and historic Prince Alfred Bridge, condemned to demolition after more than 125 years of service.
