loft dress - Tarantula
This avant garde dress was hand made by me using black cotton, chiffon and lame fabrics.
Loft dress can be worn as a short dress or tunic paired with leggins and military boots, that's how I see it.
The fabric on the top is a black georgette with ruffled details. For the bottom I used black metallic chiffon and black vintage chiffon.
The whole piece is embellished using black lame fabric, vintage buttons, hand dyed satin trim and cotton print of a vintage industrial lamp.
Size is free between Small and Medium
One of a kind design

The sail lofts in Tollesbury were built in the first years of the 20th century but saw their heyday in the 1930s when they were used for storing the equipment of overwintering J-Class sailing yachts belonging to the Edwardian elite and raced in the America's Cup.
Only a handful of these 120ft long yachts were ever constructed and they are often regarded as a golden age of sailing. Fishermen from Tollesbury and other fishing villages on the Essex coast were the main source of crews for Britain's J-Class yachts. The fishmen would crew the yachts in the Mediterranean during the summer season and return to their traditional fishing over the winter.
The lofts have recently been restored to pristine condition and are now used as offices related to the nearby boatyards.
